Braden Pollock scores a big sale with Mogul.com. He sold the domain name for $1.3M
From an email I received today:
Mogul the real estate investing platform startup has officially acquired Mogul.com for $1.3M, moving from its original Mogul.club domain as the company enters its next stage of growth. The new site is now live.
While Mogul.club helped get the company off the ground, CEO and co-founder Alex Blackwood sees Mogul.com as a digital storefront that better reflects what the company is becoming: an all-encompassing real estate platform with a stronger, more recognizable online presence.
As Alex puts it:
“As Mogul has grown, we knew our online presence needed to match the scale of what we’re building. More than 50,000 investors have found us at Mogul.club. We can only imagine how many more would have found us, and how many more will continue to find us, with Mogul.com.
We’re value investors at heart, and if there’s one thing we understand, it’s the power of a great location. It’s what we call domain maxxing: owning the clean, premium .com domain for your company that people instinctively trust and remember.
We’re confident the investment will pay for itself within six to twelve months. The real value is that it brings us one step closer to making Mogul synonymous with residential real estate and building the all-in-one ecosystem we’ve envisioned from the start.”
Congrats to Braden
