TheDomains.com turned 17 this month, it was back in 2007 when Michael Berkens decided to throw his hat in the blog arena. Michael started buying domains a decade earlier in 1997. The one and only Ron Jackson did a feature on Michael back in 2009.
December has probably been the most important for Michael’s domaining career as 8 years later in December as well, Michael sold his portfolio to GoDaddy. Michael’s post back in 2015 has garnered over 5,000 views. While focusing on other things Michael still holds a portfolio of domain names and still a fountain of knowledge when it comes to domain names and negotiations.
I want to thank all of our readers and all our advertisers for their support over the past 17 years. Also I want to thank past contributors Jamie Zoch and Alvin Brown.
A happy holiday season to each and every one of you. May you have the season you desire.

A huge thank you to you, Raymond, and to one of the industry’s original OGs, long-time friend and fellow Tampa Bay Buccaneers fan Michael Berkens, for the vital roles you have played in the explosive growth of this business. The fact-based, no non-sense news and information you have shared over the years has helped countless domain investors and developers make invaluable connections, sound decisions and personal dreams come true!
