Markfromslo posted on Namepros that he was trying to list the domain name TrumpPatriot.com at Sedo and Afternic. Afternic rejected for TM but Sedo rejected for offensive which has some a bit miffed.
Initial post:
I have a domain name, TrumpPatriot.com. I’m not that interested in the name, but I want to list it. I can’t at Afternic because they say it’s a Trademark issue. Okay. So I listed it at Sedo, but just got an email that says the name is “got suspended from our services due to a potential violation of our policy regarding offensive domains.”
Anyway, it is what it is, and I’m not going to create a big stink about it. However, I would like to list the name somewhere else. In the interest of time and not having to go through this with many registrars before successfully listing it, can I get a good recommendation for where to list without an issue?
Please, I hope no one hijacks this thread and turns it into either pro or con on Trump. It’s a domain issue and a free speech issue.
There are quite a few replies in the thread which you can follow here. It will be good when this election is over. I have been seeing somewhat of a repeat of what I saw in 2016 with people telling me they will not sell to someone of a different political ideology. Like I said to the two people in 2016, How would you know? Does it ask for political affiliation on the landing page?

Not sure if Sedo takes the same, fair measure to domain names which praise the other candidate, and this is probably something worth experimenting. If it doesn’t, time to migrate to other non-biased platforms.

You aren’t alone in looking forward to the election being over.
Its gotten so bad even Mark Zuckerburg threw in the towel becoming a Libertarian.
I voted early so I dont need to worry about the election until its over.
There is somethin sickening and unhealthy about the duration of U.S. elections.
