In 28 years of domaining you see a lot, I have been on forums where people believed domain investors should be thrown off a mountain because they were sitting on a domain name they wanted. Others resorting to the traditional reverse domain name hijacking. But it seems like someone has started a Change.org petition to get a domain investor to sell them a domain name.
The company is called Devco, the petition page states:
Our organization, DevCo, is one of the fastest growing businesses in North America. To accelerate our growth, we are interested in acquiring the “Devco.com” domain. However, a villain named Dave Lahoti already has control of that site. He is notorious for sitting on domains to watch people suffer. He has refused to contact us, even after numerous outreach attempts. Please sign our petition to get show him that the world wants us to gain control of Devco.com.
When @domainretail noted this on Twitter/X Bill Sweetman had the perfect response. They don’t know who they messing with.
SMH. The DevCo folks have picked the wrong domain investor to go to war against. They should have done their homework first, including seeking the advice of a domain buyer broker (like me) who has successfully bought domains from Dave. This will not end well for the DevCo folks!

Apparently they also registered https://davelahotisucks.com/
Perhaps instead of spending $12 to register that domain name, that $12 would have been better spent at Amazon on How to Win Friends & Influence People (Dale Carnegie Books)
