Unrelated question-
I’m a 2000’s/2010s domainer with a decent (small, under 200) inventory of .coms ive been selectively culling over the past years. Nothing epic, but some decent stuff that gets offers, perhaps a few that might realistically go into the 5 figure range under the right conditions.
I’m doing some estate planning and trying to figure out the right pathway for my wife to liquidate them in the event I buy it unexpectedly. “Learn everything about domains and DIY”
is not a realistic option here.
Best I can figure, she will need guidance, which will obviously require an extension of trust. I’ve occasionally dealt with ‘brokers’ as counterparties and would not trust their integrity under these circumstances. Since this is on an undefined timeline and may happen tomorrow, or 40 years from now, individual names may not work here, since she might need it in 2043, or whatever.
Has anyone blueprinted a course of action here?
My thinking takes me as far as just having her liquidate the in a domain auction at once, but that would result in some major value loss.
Opinions and strategies appreciated.

In same boat here. Holding around 80 domains which I have carried so far from 2002 – 2004 era. What I did was told my family members what steps to take and where those steps could be found. It is all written down. I myself keep updating those steps if and when I change registrar or if there is a password change for the same.
Now my son is slightly grown up. So have explained him what he needs to do and have given him a rough idea on what to expect.
