Seems like a lot of people had enough with being disrespected and or inundated with spam and crass comments.
Krista @domaindomme tweeted today she was leaving Clubhouse.
Rick Schwartz then added that he will now be blocking those who follow him with a .eth handle
I have always said the domain industry is a collection of echo chambers, on top of that some people plain don’t like one another. People should not be resorting to bullying or harassing anyone. There are plenty of tribes you can join and fit in with.
Bruce says
Domainers who don’t succeed want to see others fail like Krista. She is successful because she doesn’t sit on her behind waiting for offers.
I left that site months and months ago because it is a waste of time. Krista should blow it off and concentrate on what is working. Don’t try to be everything to everyone.
Mike says
These must be children we are speaking of ,surely ?.
mario says
Doesn’t this lady have an issue with everyone namepros, etc, seen her whine a million times over.
Krista Gable says
I am this lady. I don’t whine. I speak the truth. A spade is a spade.
Krista Gable says
Hi Mario. This lady is me. I don’t whine. I call out bullies, especially when they are anonymous bullies who hide behind a screen as they do on NamePros.
Bruce Tedeschi says
I mean this with all do respect. You folks who write about the industry keep calling her an expert. People that have been doing this for decades have an issue when we don’t agree with your evaluation. Expertise comes with several years of hard knocks, industry lessons etc. part of that is not reacting to criticism. When you do that, experts see that is weakness and that anyone doing that is calling the small community of domainers bad people.
A sign of an expert to me, is someone that can moderate their own behavior and their reaction to comments. You will not last long in any industry if you lash out publicly to your detractors. This should be done one on one with the detractor, not on LinkedIn etc where everyone has to see a fight.
IMO learn lessons from the experts that don’t bring their personal disputes into forums where everyone has to see it when 5hey are their for domaining, not a public sharing of their emotions. These are my own observations and I speak for myself, not all domainers.
Take a deep breath and think before you post when you angry. Deleting an account because your feelings were hurt is not the best decision. Set ground rules in your room if you created and block people who don’t follow it.
How many times have you seen recognized experts act in this way? Almost never.
Raymond Hackney says
I write about this industry and I never used the word expert.
truth says
I would say who cares? domaining is a small little niche that the rest of the world despises, hell I think I even read a post on name pros where a domainer was talking about why domainers are despised around the world nobody gives a s*** about don’t mainers except the domainers. this is a tiny little industry that no one cares about outside of that tiny little industry no one.
Guess says
Easy for a man to say in this industry. They wouldn’t dare disrespect another man the way they do the few women in this industry.
Truth says
First off where did gender play into my comment I said no one gives a flying f*** about your whole f****** industry is what I said male female transgender whoever you’re despised the world around.
Raymond Hackney says
Well let’s tone it down a bit. I do think there are some who are misogynist and make inappropriate comments to women. But it’s not just a gender issue. When I was a mod in the DotTV subforum one MAN threatened to Kill another MAN.
Some people just plain don’t like others in this business. There is no we, we are not all on the same side. IF WE were all on the same side the ICA would probably have 2,000 paying members minimum. But that’s another story.
John says
lol, envy much
Domaining.pro says
.eth domains? What is that? 😂
Bruce Tedeschi says
You may not have. However, we just had a names on where you had her as a speaker. Did that mean she is a novice? I have nothing against her at all. In summary, all I am saying is to keep personal issues between you and the person or persons you have a problem with.
We have no context of what happened. There was no info on who said what. So the people that were in her group that she cancelled her account on that were respectful can no longer participate in her forum. I’m sharing my own opinion, not looking for an argument.
Krista Gable says
First of all I would like to remind you that Jealousy does indeed cause wrinkles. I was a speaker as well as Master of Ceremony on the main stage at Names Con. You mad Bro? 🧐😆🤡
Bruce says
Thanks for the free press.

Wtf is that… What a freaking rip off
What a BullS
NamePros Moderator says
Hello, You can comment without upgrading your account on NamePros. NamePros does not allow restricted members to bypass their restrictions through an upgrade or payments of any kind. You may be thinking of the New Member limits or the ability to increase active thread/bump limits by upgrading a free personal account to a Blue or Gold account. However, at no time does upgrading change an account’s restriction status. If you’re going to discuss your NamePros account publicly, please also disclose the full reason that you’re unable to post directly on NamePros without first having a moderator review your post. It’s important to have transparency.
Freddy says
There are so many people who are called expert, but never sold a domain or did something for the industry.
Jennifer says
Just be happy that all Krista did was leave. Those skinny incel scammer nerds are lucky she didn’t administer a good otk…. followed by a peg…. session. She contributes a lot and people should appreciate her work ethics.
MapleDots says
Anytime we lose a domainer it is a loss to our industry and I hope Krista sticks around. I have been following her on Twitter and I enjoy reading her tweets. I tried signing up for clubhouse but they basically wanted the name of my first born child, I was not comfortable sharing that much data so I abandoned my attempt to join.
All the public platforms, Twitter, Clubhouse, Namepros etc are going to have abuse. They can also be a resource but it is highly dependent on how you engage the platform. If one cannot make the platform work then quitting is probably a good idea. Move onto something that motivates you and brings you joy. I have left some of the larger platforms for smaller more personalized ones and they feel more like home.
Starting your own platform is also an option, there are so many incredible software packages out there it is easy to start your own forum community, interactive website, or clubhouse alternative. Your platform does not have to set the word on fire, it just needs an engaging friendly community of friends. I launched a highly specialized local community and if anyone needs help they can engage me and I will gladly guide you along on how to launch a platform of your own.
Bruce says
I’ll take you up on that offer.
Rob says
The problem with the domain industry is that we put those people on pedestal who speak the loudest. We need to celebrate or talk about true leaders, not some wannabes who throw childish tantrums to draw attention.
This is the same person who called one of the commenters above “manchild” on Twitter for sharing his opinion. How ironic from someone who keeps bringing up the “woman card” to ridicule other men as “manchild”.
This is the same person who forwarded the URL stupididiot .com to Namepros CTO’s LinkedIn account because Namepros suspended her account for unethical behavior (promoting her own auction listings by creating another fake account)
I have been on several rooms on Clubhouse where she has been a mod. My impression has always been that she is someone who has picked up few buzzwords such as Haptics, Digital Twins, Spatial and she keeps repeating them as an “expert” in emerging tech. It would be interesting to know how much success she has actually had in domaining in terms of real sales for her to qualify as an expert in the domain industry. If someone does not agree with her, she becomes extremely rude and disrespectful (even abusive) to them.
Wish her all the best but I hope that we stop talking about people who engage in this kind of trash behavior and bring the whole industry down
Truth says
Fake accounts you say? Well that’s interesting.
Bruce says
I’m afraid we are really not an industry. Too date, we don’t have measurement of what a domain investor is. We have no idea what ICANN does for us but we keep paying the fee baked into domain pricing.
Until we have established criteria for the domain investment community as to what constitutes experts, we will always have conflict. I am the one who was referred to as a man child. I didn’t reply because it’s not worth engaging in that type of behavior. I am sad that we cannot express opinions without a hostile attack back. All that man child post did is give me free press.
Again, my opinion, the fact that the original post that caused all this above, should have been balanced. Saying the domainers are sick of bullying is incorrect. It was a single Domainer, not Domainers. There was no context as to what was said that constitutes bullying?
Regardless as to how she feels about me, I hope she becomes a huge success and makes millions. I want everyone to win in domaining.
So with that said, have a blessed day.
Raymond Hackney says
There is validity in what you said Bruce, about not really an industry I have felt that for a long time. Many people don’t want anything to do with others. I have had people say to me don’t put me in the same club with pornographers ( they were very anti-porn). Others felt there are so many people who own trash domains that do not deserve to be mentioned in the same breath with Rick or Mike or Frank.
There are several tribes, and some of those tribes despise other tribes.
Now it was not just one incident Bruce, Krista stated there was more than one incident. And Rick is mentioned here and he said,
It isn’t a small group. It’s a very large group and they are degenerates.
So no it’s about more than one person.
Happily GFY says
If you are going to run your mouth expect people to say shit back. And to the idiot talking about peg sessions better hope there is not a gangbang in return.
This industry is a joke, it always has been from typo fraudsters to the morons buying celebrities names that they have no rights to. Experts left this business. Schilling, Ye, Berkens, etc…
Bruce says
What is peg?

Bruce says
I’ve been doing this since 1997 so I’ve seen quite a lot. The old guard is still revered and respectfully so. However, I’ve seen almost everyone who touts themselves as experts in the bio on LinkedIn. Because there is no formal organization that requires standards that would classify a domain expert, we’ll always have people proclaiming themselves As experts.
I do know this though, your behavior as a domaining professional has to stand out. Lashing out and calling someone names doesn’t say to me, your acting in a professional manner.
There is an assumption on peoples free speech. Everyone wants to cancel you when you have a comment that differs from their own.
Of course I’m talking in general with my comments and NOT directed at any person. Maybe it’s time to have formal recognized association that requires professional, ethical and moral behavior.
I would love to see it. There are so many new people attempting to be successful investors that it has become a virtual tit.for-tat.
Lastly, you won’t see me engaging in name calling such as has been levied against me on Twitter.
Raymond Hackney says
The old guard is not as revered by younger domainers or Web3 Blockchain investors. I have had younger people tell me Yogi is my hero or Hiren Patel, not Schwartz or Mann. So there are generational divides as well.
Bruce says
100% correct… so this question is, what constitutes success? I hope we all can concentrate on respecting each other’s opinion. Otherwise, we’ll all take our corners and never bind as a group.
Bruce says
I’m confused then! What that that comment of peg have to do with this post?
Raymond Hackney says
Well I believe Bruce but this is just my opinion. That Jennifer was saying the incels were lucky Krista did not peg them and then Happily GFY said the incels might have turned the tables with a gang bang. This is certainly the craziest comments we have had in a long time.
Bruce says
I totally get what we are dealing with now.
Raymond Hackney says
We might have jumped the shark.
Bruce says
Lol I think so
