DialSource.com is rebranding to Conquer.io. The move from a .com to a .io will send some screaming from the rafters. In 2019 Agentology.com rebranded to Verse.io.
Conquer published a lengthy blog post on the change. It’s important to note they are not an underfunded or no funded startup that always seem to move to a .com once they get funding. They made mention they closed Series B last year.
Conquer.com registered in 1994 looks to be owned by Aurea Software out of Texas.
Here is a partial excerpt:
Conquer is more than just a new name and logo. This rebrand represents our product’s total transformation and a deeper understanding of what revenue teams need to conquer their day. You’ll see this change reflected in our communications, our engagement and customer enablement, and in the design of our product.
Revenue is not one-dimensional. As you look at our new logo, you will notice the contrasting colors on either side and the 3D qualities of the shape. These represent two sides of the same revenue team and the interdependence of communication and collaboration between sales and service teams as they work to deliver a consistent customer experience. To win, expand, and retain customers.

Congrats Conquer.com owner, your domain just became more valuable.

Some of the folks at Overstock O.co must be on their BOD now

Good luck competing with trillions of dollars a year in collective marketing/advertising spend promoting the .Com brand.
The beauty of .Com names, due to complete brand domination, is that you just don’t have to say it’s a .Com. Amazon is Amazon and eBay is eBay, Discord is Discord and even Zoom is Zoom. Yes they are all accessible on .Com but we don’t need to say that. Try that with another extension.
Ethan says
The advantage of not having to say it’s a .com attributes to left side of the dot, not .com.
.com-using companies whose left sides of the dot are too generic still have to say it’s a .com. For example, Bookings.com, User.com, and Domain.com.
Ethan says
* Booking.com

All new tech platforms are being built on .io and it is slowly becoming household. If you are a tech startup it’s just weird to have your platform on a .com. It’s almost expected in silicon valley to have a .io. Other than irritating old domainers there’s nothing wrong with it. Check out Earth2.io and vPark.io amazing new platforms for digital real estate/nft’s.
Snoopy says
What is this? Reverse physcology or you just bought way too many .IO on your credit card?
Skinny Ted says
Yeah…no…(insert eyeroll)
Snoopy says
The prior domain was very dated sounding, “dial” like ring up and talk on the phone? Not sure about the new name, obviously problematic also but the bigger problem may be the website itself is terrible, strange colorings and awful graphics.
buck rogers says
Sign of weakness no one knows what .io is and handshake names will end up destroying .io in 2-5 years along with other extensions.
The only reason to go with a .io is your a startup or you can’t afford the .com. It is once again amat hour.
Name one fortune 500 that uses a .io LOL.
Alpha 8 says
Name one that uses or will ever use Handshake. Name anyone outside of a small group of crypto fanatics that know handshake. .IO compared to handshake is .Com compared to .IO.
Ethan says
Name one fortune 500 whose .com was unavailable when it launched.
Fat Fred says
They’re overthinking it. Just create compelling product, market it well, and reap the rewards.
Dumb rebrand.
JZ says
both .io and handshake will be forgotten in 10 years or less.
Winston says
Two words .com to one word .io is still an upgrade. It is likely they just couldn’t agree on the price for one word .com domain name. Once the startup becomes more established, they will want to get the .com.
