Michael Saylor did an episode on TheHustle uploaded to their YouTube Channel. Saylor talks about how he sold Voice.com and other domain names he developed and sold.
Domain names like Alarm.com which is now publicly traded. Angel.com was another business Michael Saylor talks about in the video.
It’s a good listen worth your time.
David says
A lesson for us all. They tried to purchase the domain by making a low ball offer of 150k and it ended up that they were willing to go as high as 30m. Great result.
Dan says
for sure
John says
Good video. Reminds me of my one priceless domain that’s worth > $1b. If anyone inquired now I’d probably ask $2b.
john says
which one is that ?
John says
I would not mention that unless the time was right, and it’s still definitely not yet. But God willing, perhaps it will be before that much longer. Sometime in the next five years or so would be nice and seems possible and realistic.
Snoopy says
What are you talking about John? No way would you ask “$2billion”. Most would sell for $300k.
The name will sell again and it will be way lower than $30million. Microstrategy hit it out of the park.
