Kau.com was registered in 1996 and owned by a Japanese company. There are no trademarks for KAU as a standalone registration. Kau is the southernmost district on the island of Hawaii. The name of a river in India and an airport code for an airport in Finland.
Epara.com was registered in 1999 and owned by a Turkish company. There is a skincare company at EparaSkincare.com. Likely buyer or prospect if an investor purchased. They do have a registered trademark for Epara. A word mark that was registered on April 9, 2019.
Brian Luedke says
Airport codes are the overlooked secret gems of domains.
They match especially well with ccTLD that reflect the state or country of the city.
The entire domain, on both sides of the dot, reflects the five letters that precisely identify the location.
I have that with SPS.HN (identifies San Pedro Sula, Honduras, one of C. America’s biggest cities. I also have the capital city of Honduras – Tegucigalpa – in the .com) SPS city leaders use that acronym in their branding.
I also have an airport code for the capital of Alabama: MGM.AL, which is great because Montgomery is using “MGM” for their city branding, and .AL (technically Albania, not Alabama) is an unrestricted domain based in a stable European democracy.
