Apple registrations suggest a new AppleOne service may be in the works

September 12, 2020 by Raymond Hackney

AppleOne

MacRumors.com published a piece on Apple registering a number of AppleOne related domain names. Apple has a meeting taking place on 9/15 and an announcement may be coming on a new service.

Whether they can get the .com or net will remain to be seen. I doubt they will get the .com.

Appleone.com is a developed website, an employment agency. Appleone.net is currently parked and for sale.

Why lol? C’mon Snoopy your comments are getting very stale now.

Anyways, I think that there are agencies using a service that bulk registers domains across many new Gs at a lower unit cost. This used to happen more when new Gs first launched in 2014 – it would look like a company went out of their way specifically to register keyword.everything (200+ extensions) but really it was a agency/service that registered in bulk, often without the registrant specifying the tlds they needed/wanted. In most cases, unnecessary spending.

Hard to imagine that, in this case, Apple are going to use the domains listed without getting the .com. Also what about the Apple1 equivalents. Anyhow – seems a little like copying the Google1 service.

Great. I would be glad to see Apple using one of the new gTLD domains they registered for their new service. It would be one more good resource of public education by big companies that there are a wide variety of domain extensions, not just .com/.net/.org.

Sorry that isn’t going to happen, they just registered whatever crap was left for defensive purposes and unsurprisingly all that was left was new tlds.

      They will use apple.com/one.
