Over the last few years we have published a series The good, the bad and the ugly. Readers have been able to leave their feedback and some companies have reached out over the years and let me know they took the posts to heart.
This year I want to try to change it up a bit and, What they do right and what they do wrong. Focusing in a little deeper to give better feedback to industry participants.
When posting what they do wrong, please give your suggestions on how they could improve upon what they are doing wrong.
Do not take ad hominem or personal cheap shots. Speak about the company and give some background on how long you have been a customer.
Do not use the post as an opportunity to promote your company or a competitor.
Today we focus on Namesilo, What do they do right and what do they do wrong?
Other Right/Wrong posts.

No comments because never heard of that name.
Just nothing to say is good.

If you never heard of namesilo you are either stupid, trolling or living in the woods.
Solid registrar good prices, they need to make their marketplace better.
BullS says
Stupid, trolling, living in the woods…you got all correct.
Where can I send a prize to you?
Ronald Smith says
Right – Free privacy – Cheap pricing for .com/net
Wrong – Some cctlds could be cheaper, I use other registrars for some cctlds.
David says
Wrong – website makeover not complete leaving half new and half old. They messed up their homepage. Old design was much better. And faster. Dont know what they were thinking.
Right – everything else.
Michael says
A good registrar, but as mentioned they never completed their re-design, so it is a bit of a mess.
Also, a bit too secretive, and they don’t want you to call them.

Thank you all for your feedback. Our team is actively monitoring this thread and taking note of your comments.
To address a couple of the concerns:
– re: Marketplace, we are working on several updates to our marketplace in the near future including proxy bidding on expired auctions; we are also working to release a new domain brokerage platform called NameLot.com (currently in beta)
– re: ccTLDs being more expensive, please contact our team at support@namesilo.com with the specific ccTLDs and we will work with the respective registries to ensure we have the lowest prices possible
– re: website re-design – we are actively working on this; unfortunately, given the number of pages and amount of data across our site, it’s taking a bit longer than planned
– re: phone support, we are hoping to roll it out in the next year, but in the meantime, we are definitely happy to speak with you over email (support@namesilo.com) or our 24×7 live chat support team (at https://www.namesilo.com/Support) – we have found these channels to be more effective as we can provide screenshots and documentation more easily
