LiveChat Software S.A. is a global IT company operating in SaaS (Software as a Service) model and offering product that increases online sales, improves customer service and online conversions.
The company is headquartered in Poland.
The company had been operating on LiveChatInc.com, they made some acquisitions in January and sent out a note yesterday regarding their upgrade.
We’ve migrated LiveChat’s website to a new domain name: livechat.com. This is a historic event for us and our whole team has been waiting for this moment for such a long time!
In the next couple of months, we’re going to migrate all of our services to LiveChat Agent App. We’ll let you know about the specific timeline and all the other details in advance.
Yesterday’s changes shouldn’t affect most of our customers. However, if you’re experiencing any issues, please consider taking these actions:
👉 Make sure that the livechat.com domain name is whitelisted or added to your trusted domains. Please don’t remove livechatinc.com from your whitelist, as the Agent App continues to utilize my.livechatinc.com for now.
👉 If you can’t log in to the LiveChat desktop app, please make sure you are using the latest version.
If you have any questions, we’re here to assist you.
We’re on livechat.com now!
The company acquired the domain name in January for an undisclosed amount. They mentioned,
The Management Board does not disclose the value of the transaction due to the protection of the interest of the Company, which may negotiate similar contracts in the future.
I incorrectly stated earlier that the domain was pointed to them, it’s not Live.chat for some reason or another is calling themselves LiveChat.com
The company owns some other solid domains like Chatbot.com and HelpDesk.com.
Shares of LiveChat Software S.A. are listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange under the ticker LVC.
I neither own or have ever owned shares of LVC and this post is not a recommendation.

Perfect acquisitions

It’s about time. I’ve used LiveChat (good service) and gone to LiveChat.com in error when it wasn’t their domain. LiveChatInc.com was odd to type in.

I would like to better understand why they tried to trademark “livechat.com” in 2014 when they didn’t even own the domain back then:

Too bad they didnt get live.chat also
Raymond Hackney says
I at first thought they did Greg, because the name on Live.chat also calls itself LiveChat.com. I had to edit the article. So it’s weird Live.Chat would not emphasize Live.CHAT.
