Back in 2016 we started a series here that looked at the best and worst about companies in the domain industry. Over the last 30 months a lot has changed at many companies so we are revisiting the good, the bad and the ugly.
Each post will deal with just one company, readers are encouraged to share their positive and negative experiences. Suggestions for improvement are also encouraged.
One of the goals of the column is that company representatives will see how their customers think of them. This can lead to a conversation on fixing problems.
What is not allowed:
- Personal attacks on individuals at the chosen company
- Promoting a competitor
- Posting domains for sale
The company in the spotlight today is Efty
VR says
The good, easy to use, Doron is usually around to answer questions.
The Bad, can be a bit of a learning curve to get everything just right.
The ugly, nothing

Why would I pay for this when I can get similar services for free?
Jonathan says
You can’t. Where can you get your own domain portfolio site, where you can upload a logo, custom background, a few pages where you put what you want, tracking etc?
BullS says
It costs money to use their platform….what the point??
Why pay them to use my high end domains!!!
As a matter of fact, those parking should pay us ($200 a month) to use their platform. It is like giving our data away for free and they use it. WTF
Howard @ dninspire says
If your domains are that high end the just make your own landers or let the buyers come to you. Clearly this service isn’t for you.
Leonard Britt says
EFTY is an innovator in the domain space which continues to offer enhancements to its service. My only complaint would be the VAT charge given I am not located in Europe.
Not a Fan of Efty says
Not a fan of Efty and would never recommend them. A few years back, I reached out to them about pricing and deals and got a rude reply from Doronia the owner. That wasn’t pleasant and totally turned me off. They even offered 1 time payment options, but took them away.
Since then, i went with Epik and do everything they offer for free and with great support.
Arthur says
They give you SSL landers as part of the service. Why would I pay $6 only to NOT get SSL landers when I could just register the domain name with Epik and get an SSL lander for each domain name. For $6 the LEAST they could do is give you an SSL. Way too expensive. Analytics dashboard is nice but not worth it. I agree with both BullS and Howard which is why I have my own for sale landers. Sure $6 isn’t that much but when others offer it as part of their service, I don’t see why I would pay for it. Let’s say you have 20 domains each at $10. This means $72/ year. For that price I’d much rather have that go to renewals for 7 domain names. If you have a decent domain name that gets type in traffic, you can just forward that to a for sale landing page. Do Efty pages look nice? Sure, but do I think they’re worth it? No.
