While we have a big poll running on Namepros for the title of top registrar in the business for 2019, the folks over at TechRadar put together their list.
I am not sure I love their breakdown, when talking about Domain.com this is what they said about privacy protection. ” You need to pay for privacy protection, a reasonable $8.99“
Now when they spoke about GoDaddy and having to pay for privacy this is what they said, “The second problem is that there are no bundled extras, so adding something like Whois privacy – a valuable service often included for free with other providers – costs $8 a month for year one, and $10 on renewal.”
GoDaddy privacy is $9.99 for 1 year not $8 a month, but let’s say they made a typo and meant per year, why was Domain.com a very reasonable $8.99 but it was a problem at GoDaddy?
As you see domain investor favorites Dynadot and Namecheap made the list.

TechRadar is a poor source of unbiased information. The link to Domain.com is an affiliate, the others are direct links. That’s one example of an advertorial/fake-news/propaganda style articles they publish.
Raymond Hackney says
Yeah I did not like the way they presented Domain.com and you are right about the advertorial aspect, but with not revealing anywhere they are playing with fire from the FTC. I read it all and then was like wait is their a sponsored element to Domain.com?
John says
Still transferring domains to Epik…
Paul drake says
This is all garbage ,clearly namesilo is the winner and free privacy ,if you own 1domain at godaddy the package will cost you 24 bucks ,at name silo 8.99
VR says
Namesilo isn’t winning anything, Epik is far superior, Namebright is cheaper, Dynadot is equal if not better.
Chris says
You had me intrigued on cheaper, but looks to be false for domain i was looking at
chimp says
Paid Review, nothing new.
D says
1.Godaddy (their transfer saves time for domainers – it’s the best)
2. Namecheap
3. Name.com
Then uni if you don’t care what tomorrow holds or if your registrar is honest
Chris says
Eh as mentioned above link to domain is an affiliate so looks like it’s somewhat biased and majority of these places have paid bundles, will prefer continuing to use Namesilo as i have for all this time since whoisprivacy is completely free. GoDaddy seems to be popular as usual so not surprise there.
