A really cool story on ComicBook.com about a domain name, a movie premier and Ryan Reynolds. (Tip of the cap to DNupdate)
From the article:
The domain name “avengersendgame.com” was purchased by a Deadpool fan who was willing to hand the site over to Marvel Studios in exchange for tickets to the premiere ofAvengers: Endgame. According to Twitter, that clever fan has had his demands met.

Prior to the offer to hand over the name, the article mentioned the domain went viral last year when the owner redirected the domain to promote Deadpool 2.
Ryan Reynolds showed his appreciation and sent the fan a package from his Gin company.
Package from @VancityReynolds just arrived! Wow! This thing is beautiful!!!
… And I will trade it immediately for 2 tickets to the #AvengersEndgame premiere! Any takers? pic.twitter.com/RPoEjBOJbl— Guy Inchair (@AGuyInChair) December 14, 2018

Yes, sometimes there are nice stories in the domain world.
I donated a domain to a friend 5 years ago for his startup, and the company now has a valuation of over 1 Billion USD. Not bad for a guy who’s only 26.
