Bill Sweetman from NameNinja tweeted out that his company and Sedo completed the sale of Files .com for $750,000.
I’m thrilled to announce that @NameNinja brokered, in collaboration with @Sedo, the purchase of the ultra-premium domain name https://t.co/m0HkGHWLMM for $750,000 USD. Congratulations to Buyer and Seller, and big thanks to Sedo seller broker @FrankTillmanns. #naming #dotcomisking

Congrats to buyer and seller.

Congrats to Bill @NameNinja and Fran TIllmanns @Sedo for a terrific purchase and sale.

LOL. Yeah right, spoken like a greeting card. People over at DNW are a little more credible, however.

DNW couldn’t hold Berkens jockstrap nor Nat Cohen’s, how was it like a greeting card. What valuable names you own?
John says
My $50 million domain was reset to $100 million not long ago. Now it’s $250 million. I also have a domain that someone is known to have tried to buy before for a heavy 7 figures.
And that’s not a nice thing to say about DNW. I doubt Michael feels that way. The blogosphere looks almost entirely nicely collegial if you ask me.

Files.com sold for $725k in 2010. The seller lost money after paying a brokerage commission.
Bill Sweetman says
Name Ninja represented the buyer and Sedo represented the seller on this deal proving once again the value that trusted and professional domain brokers bring to the table to get deals done for their clients. This was a win-win for everyone, and it will be exciting to see this domain put to a new use in the future.

I assume the buyer is in the private air charter business, an industry that is booming?
steve says
excuse me — I misread the name — I thought it was :flies”

Classic example of how many much longer multi-word domains would be far more valuable and desirable than this particular one. No wonder it went this way.
John says
In fact, the seller is EXTREMELY lucky to even be able to recover that much for it, thanks to all the bs zero sum game industry harming propaganda in the industry by those who push the mantra and Kool-Aid of “short, short, short” above all else while wailing naked and sweating on the floor bobbing up and down violently.
