The holidays are upon us and what better gift to a domainer than free domain development and free make an offer pages.
This week ToughDomains has increased its free plan from 20 domain development and domain for sale pages to support for upto 2,500 domains for free.
With the release of GDPR it has become even more important to have a clear way for buyers to contact you and having a clear, clean and always working landing page will increase requests to purchase a name (vs parking or no for sale form)
There are many options for domain for sale landing pages. Some are scripts you need to host and maintain and some are services that charge a fee.
Here is what you get for free for up to 2,500 names

I tried to crack Tough Domains, submitted a few names and they shit all over me, disparaging the quality of my names.
Cherry picking, low hanging fruit, elitists that apparently cater only to the first to the circa 1996-1999 trough, registrants.
waste of time
John says
I thought “free” meant you do what you want through automation and they don’t even get involved.
Rudy says
Hey John we are offering 2,500 free domain development pages and domain sales pages. Most of the features are automated and you can also customize if needed (domain logo, payment options price, make offer buy now) and the system tracks all your offers in case you miss the email. So you are correct its mostly automated and we dont get involved. if you want a full service broker service where we handle everything we have the marketplace.
Rudy says
Hey Robert I looked you up in our system and looks like you signed up for a free account back in June 2017 and loaded 1 domain into our system. Our system has received a ton of updates since then. I however could not locate any correspondence btw you and our team via chat, support or email. Could you provide more specific detail?

Really great platform. Love the features!

I have had nothing but the best experiences with ToughDomains. I have sold several domains on this platform. Whenever I have needed any support or needed an expert to consult with I have been an email away. The chat feature online is pretty cool as well. Rudy is also a real stand up guy. I would trust him with my domain name authorization codes!!

Here is a short expose of the difficulties with a simple matter as changing DNS servers on ToughDomains.
Jamie, at the “Online Chat”, on ToughDomains, uses the term “Operator Error”, …or “You’re Stupid”, as …
Robert,
Thank you for the feedback. To expand further on your comments:
1) Changing DNS is a process that is done on your registrars end. Tough Domains simply supplies you with the landing pages and Name Servers to complete the process.
If you would like to change your DNS and use our landing pages, then here are our NS:
NS1.ToughDomains.com
NS2.ToughDomains.com
2) Ownership verification is done in two ways:
A) Point your DNS to our Name Servers. Once you do this there is no reason to complete the second way. The reason we have a second way is in the rare case that two different customers have the same domain name listed in our system. If that were to occur and DNS was pointed to our NS, then our system would have to further verify who the owner is. And that would be done by the following:
B) Email Verification or TXT Record
Hope this helps and we are on chat if you need any further assistance.
Regards,
TD Support
I have experimented with two names, changing the DNS to NS1.ToughDomains.com,
NS2.ToughDomains.com
The supposedly requisite, ToughDomains landing page does not appear. On each occasion, I have waited 3 hours and your landing pages do not appear for my names.
DNS changes, typically takes minutes.

Fortunately, I have well prepared for the continuing “Monkey Business” that is the Domain Name business, having
been bashing my head against the walls of which for well over 15 years now.
Oh, I know, “Operator Error.”
I’m the stupid one, I get it.
If you do not want to help me sell my names on ToughDomains.com, just tell me.
the difficulties using ToughDomains.com, so far, do not surprise me.
It is the norm, systemic, chronic….
Robert McLean
the domain name business is replete with this “stuff”
Pointing DNS for my names to your servers, does not produce the ToughDomains landing page.
Al Stein says
That is terrible Robert. I haven’t had any problems. I just list ns1.toughdomains.com on the registrars website. It is very easy to do. Let me know if you have any problems and I’ll send you some screenshots to help.
Robert McLean says
Very kind of you to offer help, thankyou.
I am well versed in changing DNS servers. It is, as you say, easily done.
I am afraid that I have been targeted, by the domain community in its entirety.
Sort of a whipping boy.
Ask Michael Berkens, and he will happily tell you that he thinks that I need “Professional Help.”
Rick Schwartz will attest that not only do I have and do cultivate “Pigeon Shit” , but that he is truely, saddened at my lack of domain name acumen.
Mike Mann, has blocked me from his Twitter account, not because of a domain name dispute, but because I expressed difference to his assertion that Trump is assured another term.
Richard Lau has, and for all I know, is still active in lobbying for my permanent disqualification to all future NameCon events, citing my profane emails, complaining about the absolute horror story that is the domain name business, as veiled threats, ….. strange.
All I want to do, and all I have ever wanted to do, is sell domain names.
Crooked Sedo and Dave Evanson have banned me, for voicing frustration at being subordinated, beneath those with better portfolios, (circa 1996-1999, first to the trough registrants)
The list of the domain elite that have, and continued to attack and disparage my name quality is very lengthy and apparently, most recently joined by those running ToughDomains.com
I may be a lot of things, a quitter I am not.
I will not quit, and those that want to defeat me, can not kill me, but for a gun.
Over and out
Al Stein says
I understand when you feel like people misunderstand you. I have had nothing but positive experiences with Tough Domains. I have had plenty of bad domains on TD’s platform. I don’t think it matters to them, per se. You mentioned Mike Mann. He has a lot of
Domains. You mentioned some other folks who I assume have very nice portfolios. Maybe they do dislike you. You don’t need them though to be successful I don’t think. You likely wouldn’t want to sell them domains bc they aren’t the end user we all are searching for! Anyways best of luck in your endeavors.

I am using Tough Domains Platform for the last 6 months and i never had a problem.
I ve tried many platforms but their features are unique.
Also found great support via chat 2-3 times that i wanted to use it.
John says
I emailed them the other day to see what templates for BuyItNow or ButitNow/MakeOffer thay have for one to choose from.
Haven’t heard back yet.
Does anyone know if they have a link somewhere on their site that show them?
If a buyer emails the owner through the landing page does an email come to the owner or does one have to log in and communicate through their platform only?
Al Stein says
Email definitely comes to you. It is also posted on your dashboard once you log in.
