Another interesting thread popped up on Namepros yesterday. A new member basically posted that they bought a domain for $8,000 by accident. They don’t want the name, they would like Sedo to stop threatening legal action as they don’t even $5.
On sedo.com a domain was mistakenly purchased by me but I don’t want that domain, and I have mailed them about this problem but they are sending me mails to make payment of 8000 USD , now what to do ? I don’t have even 5 dollars I am a student . I don’t have that much money. How can I get out from this situation , please help me. They are saying that they will take legal action against me. Please help me.
Needless to say the thread is off to the races with 7 pages of comments so far. It’s always something in this business. You can read the full thread here.

It seems weird. If buyer bought a nice keyword domain,i think he would never mention “i am a student” :)))

He must be the one sending me inquiries for my domains stating he can not pay much because he is a student.
And, he wants the domain for a school project.

He must really be a student to worry that Sedo will do anything more than send those email reminders.

He may be a “student of life”, as is all of humanity.
Lessons still to learn.

Steve B says
I’ve never bought on Sedo before, but…
How do you accidentally bid $8K? Pretty sure they confirm the deal. He must’ve agreed a few times?

I had the desire to say you don;t live in a country that sedo would bother suing you but I refrained.
