While checking the whois on some generic industry based names, I noticed that DomainName.com is now at transferservice@sedo.com.
When I type in the name the lander makes me think that Yinan Wang the same buyer of DomainNames.com purchased the name.
NameService.com is owned by Yinan.
The domain was registered in 1997. Under privacy for years.
* I contacted Yinan on Namepros and he confirmed he purchased and signed an NDA.

The domaining industry is only getting bigger and there is no better name than DomainName if your are going into that business. I just purchased dn.ca and if I could get the holy grail of domaining dn.com I would pay 100k for it any day.
Ryan says
Lol ,ca is not even close to .com, Canada has 30 million people, USA 350 million, worldwide 6 billion.
You sound like Adam Dicker pumping his .ca, DN.com is not taking your $100k
MapleDots says
Yup, I cannot argue with you on that one Ryan 🙂
I have offered 100k USD on 3 different .com’s now and have yet to get one.
Only point I was trying to make is that I would prefer dn(dot)com over DomainName(dot)com
Mind you that is purely a personal choice, the full name is probably better from a marketing and indexing point of view.

One last thing Ryan……..
HeHe, By all that is holly on this earth please don’t ever compare me to Mr Dicker again 🙂
I am keenly aware of the difference in the king of com vs other extensions.

You were clear and no reason for the other comment from others.. I got you loud and clear!!

Wasn’t DN.com sold for $2M?
