Josh Metnick continues to sell crypto domains, some of them I would never even think of registering. Names like, 0x.fund. Josh sold it for $5,000. He explained to me in an email, (0x is shorthand for Ethereum — all Ethereum addresses start with a “0x…” e.g. check out 0xproject.com (symbol: ZRX) or Bounty0x.io (symbol: BNTY).
He also sold:
CanopyCoin.com – $1,750
token888.com – $6,000 (Chinese buyer)
token888.com – $6,000 (Chinese buyer)

Anything ending in chain or token is going to kill it in the next 10 years. Dropcatch has paymentchain.com going on right now. Watch this in the morning go for 5 to 10k. If you own a word ending in “chain or token” wait 1 year and 5x your money. I have had 5x the inquires on my names in past 2 months.
Mike says
I have ChainPayment.com – think it’s just as good?
John M says
We have TokenAssetOffer.com because we think “TAO” token asset offerings will overtake the term ICO in a few years – we’ll see.
RAJESH KUMAR says
very nice job by Raymond Hackney
Daniel says
Hoping you are correct with the ‘TAO potential as I own the ‘brandable URL SameToken [dot] com…
Sergey says
“some of them I would never even think of registering” – this is perfect overall explanation for ngTLD haters’ views.
Raymond Hackney says
I don’t hate new gtlds, I was referring to 0x.fund I would have never thought of 0x. Congrats to Josh.
Sergey says
No, I didn’t mean you at all Raymond. I was referring your (still brilliant) words to those blind ngTLD haters. Most of them simply have no clue.
Paul McMenamy says
It’s become a very hot space indeed.
I’ve had so many enquiries on CryptoCoinID.com which I never expected.
Live long & prosper!
Rafael says
Where does Josh sell these domain names?
Josh Metnick says
We sell most directly (buyers find the domains and contact us via Whois listed info or listed contact info on site).
We have sold some names also through GoDaddy and Afternic. Lately, we are starting to see enquirues through Uniregistry Marketplace as well.
We also pay 20% gross on any rederal that closes. Some of these names I got in 2013/2014.
We would like to sell Bitcoin.Capital and also BTC.SC (Seychelles) if anybody knows a buyer.
An interesting dynamic about the crypto space is that they tend to prefer non dot-coms. Maybe because the avg age of the founders of these co.’s tend to be millennials. Golem.Network, Cosmos.Network, Lisk.io, Lisk.Chat, z.cash, h.cash, Blockchain.Capital, etc. – at least for tbis industry, the ngtlds seem to be the norm—if not preferred, rather than the exception.
@Raymond thank you!
Cate Colgan says
Awesome! Just got an offer for puzzlecoin.com but way low – countering ? I also have Ethereum.Show and Blockchain.Bar – I’ll do the same 20% referral if anyone has any buyers ??
Richard dynas says
I am shopping bitcoinprices.io right now and a few companies seem interested in the .io. All just talk now
Logan says
That’s because the Millennials do not yet realize that they will still need to buy and own the .com eventually. Sure, the new Gs sound cool but wait until they start to spend money on media to get consumers to the site at the new G domain name. Consumers — non-Millennials in particular — will start leaking to the .com because they simply expect the company to be based there. Who can blame them? The .com brand has been emblazoned on consumers’ brains for over 20 years now.
John says
I own Cryptominera.com and I think it should be worth a bit since it means Crypto Mining in Spanish but in case I am wrong I also own Bitcoinmeltdown.com so I am protected both ways
Nathan says
I registered cryptominero.com
