There were 135 lots in the live auction and 82 sold. The top sale was Great.com at $900,000. The reserve was higher but looks like it was lowered and an online bidder won the auction.
PayPerClick.com was sold at $100,000. Stop.com sold for $75,000 owned by Monte, Mike tweeted out that Monte said it did not sell now after it showed sold on the live auction.
Over $1.6 million in sales.

My takeaway was that I would not auction a 4L.com or 2L/2N.tv in this environment. I thought the prices too low.
MVC.com was an excellent buy, $28,000 ending in VC for venture capital.
Great.com will it get paid?
Eric Lyon says
Not much for new gTLD sales I see.
Raymond Hackney says
20 lots were new gtld lots. 15 sold but most were under $1,000.
Anil Joshi says
If I am not mistaken, porn.club, and basketball.club were recently sold by the .club registry for $ 75,000 together. They are going away so cheaply at Namescon. So is Players.club. Seems like this is not the place to show and sell your premium domains, especially the nGTLDS. I would rather wait and sell at different platform than devaluate. What say Colin Campbell?
Snoopy says
Supposedly sold for $85,000 3 months ago on a payment plan. What a joke the new tld area has become. A different venue will not change the fact that the market has crashed.

Anil Joshi says
Thanks for correcting, Snoopy
Richard says
nGTLD’s completely destroyed.
I bet great.com wont go through though.
Snoopy says
Yep, market has crashed.
BetTheLot says
Been saying that for 10 years – how often can it crash???
Snoopy says
They crash within a couple of years of the hype phase,
.mobi = crash
.tv = crash
.biz = crash
.club = crash
chinese market = crash
all the other new tlds = crash
VR says
Not really, the only two markets to crash were mobi and Chinese and I believe the chinese market crash was mostly .com.
The new gtlds never soared to crash.
.tv is a real extension and has plenty of usage for the extension.
BetTheLot says
My point your only comments are crash and doom for the last 10 years. 4N.coms and 3L.coms have just done grea, both of which you said crash and doom when 3L stood at $4000 and 4N under a $1000.
We need some light with the shade
Snoopy says
I told people llll.com would fall to $15 when the minimum was $60 in 2008. Within a couple of years the minimum hit $2, so yes they did crash.
lll.com halved after I predicted a crash around the same time. Then went from $7600 to 3k.
Nnnn.com I don’t recall ever speaking about.
BetTheLot says
and the light snoopy when did you say they will increase all your comments are doom and bust
monte cahn says
LOL Richard – Great.com is a done deal. confirmed with the buyer this AM. Someone I marketed to heavily. Why would you think or feel differently having nothing to do with our auction or business?
Raymond Hackney says
Monte a lot of people expressed the feeling it wouldn’t go through, we did a poll on Twitter. https://twitter.com/thedomains/status/958560746539048961
Richard says
Why would I feel differently? Well, because I’ve been part of this industry for over 15 years now, and I saw countless deals fall apart. Buyers default all the time. Nothing to do with Namescon or any other venue. Saw it multiple times on Namejet, private sales, Godaddy, Sedo.. It’s a part of this industry. If it goes through I’ll tip my hat!
Snoopy says
Glad that it is going ahead Monte.
How about basketball.club and porn.club?
Vito says
Snoopy, i am not sure why you are asking Monte if porn and basketball will go thru. I assure you porn will go thru. I won that and will pay soon after i get home from Vegas.
Snoopy says
The two names were reported as sold by the registry for $85,000 a few months ago. Hope it goes through for you Vito.

GP says
Crash for crypto domains, and marijuana too…
Snoopy says
The ntld sales are very reminiscent of .Mobi where the biggest auction sales went from 5 & 6 figures down to 4 figures within a period of a couple of years.
John Napoletano says
Did mobi crash before or after everyone began using m.sld.tld versions of their website? Now flexible design. I vaguely remember it being promoted as a mobile phone specific thing.
Snoopy says
It was well after that m. sites were very common at the time.
Tony says
Cabriolet.com, Sportster.com and Assaults.com were great buys.
Dk says
Looks like BlockchainWallet.com didnt sell for 60,000, not seem to be on online auction? Any updates on that?
Thought it went to online auction.
Raymond Hackney says
It didn’t sell, that’s why there is no amount. It did not meet reserve.
Dk says
But it also is not on online auction, i spoke to seller at namescon , he mentioned that the reserve was 50k…. so not sure. Something might have been lost in translation.
