January 9, 2018 by Raymond Hackney

Sedo released their weekly sales and Publica.com led the way at $75,000.

The next two sales were hyphenated, Mega-Sena.com at $35,000 and Block-Chain.com at $30,000. Registered in 2014 after it was regged in 2012 and dropped after one year of registration.

52 .com sales

15 cctld sales

6 other gtld sales

More crypto sales this week, some I have no idea why MyCryptoShop.com, registered in November of 2017 sold for $3,500. Congrats to the seller, excellent.

A few new gtld sales, Mikes.Pub $5,000, Shop.Yoga $5,000 were the highest figures.

wow, 2 domains I let drop 2 years ago after I was in a bike accident and in the trauma ward — and couldn’t or forgot to renew.

someone please start a service for domainers who can’t afford to renew over 1000 domains for multiple years.

total loss: over 10 K USD

oh, well, it’s only money 🙁

      @Steve, there is a service … it’s called Financial Counseling 🙂
Why have over 1000 domains if you can’t afford them. That’s not very bright.
      You need financial smarts!
Domainig may not be for you … at least on a large scale it obviously certainly it isn’t.
All of your 1000-plus domains can’t be great domains.
      Down size.
Drop the 900 bad ones and keep the 100 medium-to-good ones. This way you can afford to renew domains that deserve to be renewed.
      Best of luck!

Newbie here and am presently watching 800 or so drop and have simply stopped looking to see if any good ones will be lost with the majority of questionable registrations.. 3,100 mixed 4 character dot coms which i still LOVE and wish I could keep the five plus years i had planned for them. Sadly I forgot to sell many or any other domains and have to move on.. Jan 17 is the first big real loss of domains. Some very cool sets or sequences that had all been previously registered and dropped. Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated.

if you give me a list of the domains about to expire, maybe i’ll buy some of them from you.

We all get emails everyday from people who want to lowball, telling us they are doing us a favor.
I guess they do not realize they are insulting our intelligence (or our domain market knowledge).

I would not communicate with you, considering your statement.
It makes you sound like a real low, lowballer.

You should have said something like –
“please contact me about your expiring domains. I’m interested . ”

          Just a suggestion.

    Poorly expressed on my part.

What I meant: a service that can provide domain management – similar to estate planning. Account execs can’t renew domains. Family members are perplexed by what names to renew, which ones to drop, as are my attorneys,
But, yes, 1000 domains are too many, despite the decent ROI
But I had planned to drop a domain 5 weeks ago and then it sold for 7500 USD via afternic — so what do you do? 🙂
