Summerfridays? 10k? Give me a break!
Mace says
I was going to make a similar comment regarding SummerFridays.com.
$10k ?!?! Not even worth reg fee !
There’s hope for my low-end domains on SEDO after all 🙂
STRIKER says
No, there’s not. Do you really not get what’s going on with sales like that one?
STRIKER says
Actually…I just googled “summer fridays”. It’s evidently a “thing”. crazy

A while back Sedo said they were creating a dns so domains pointed towards that dns would go to the ‘for sale’ page, bypassing the ppc landing page. We know the ppc pages are problematic for unintentional TM threat without producing any ppc revenue.
I guess they will come out with the dns once most of the professional domainers create their own ‘for sale’ pages.
“Closing the barn door after the horses have bolted”.
I suspect Sedo domain sales have been dropping consistently so the holding company will continue to milk it as long as some sales continue. .

Ray,
I see d.tv is turning into some sort of shopping site. Didn’t Mr. Berkens used to own that one (I could be wrong here)…but if yes, how much did he sell it for?
Raymond Hackney says
Mike did own it and he sold it.
STRIKER says
Over $100K?
Raymond Hackney says
Looks like D.tv was sold in the portfolio sale to GoDaddy. So Mike did not sell it, GoDaddy/Namefind did. They don’t report prices on their sales.

Hello Everyone,
Does this list reveal anything, in particular, regarding the rotation of “in-favor” from “out-of-favor” names?
And vice-versa?
This list has some “interesting” names for some seemingly outlandish sales prices.
I’ve kept my finger of the pulse of the Domain Industry for a few years now, albeit from the outside looking in, and I don’t ever recall such odd, non-specific names getting so much attention, let alone sales.
Any comments from the more well-initiated would be appreciated.
Thanks!
