$500 weekend blowout

Well a month ago our $1,000 post was very successful, a number of sales took place and it brought about members engaging with one another to get some deals done below the stated price as well.

The last couple sales posts did not do as well, there were a couple sales at $1,500 which was nice. I also want to thank those that emailed me offering to send me a piece of the sale. I have declined because that was not why I do these posts. It’s a way to give the reader some appreciation and to hopefully generate some revenue for our readers.

I do know the quality of names in the $3,000 post was lacking, some names were repeated from the $1,000 post with a new $3,000 price tag. That’s not the way to get sales in these posts. Our readers are not noobs, they are not going to overpay for names.

This post should be used to sell a name where you are making some money with no commission, and leave a little for the next buyer.

So this post is for .com only and the max price is $500. You may list up to 3 names.

An added the twist, the name that I think was the best name submitted for the price will generate a $25 donation to St. Jude hospital in the name of that reader. So make sure you use a working email address.

Names will get some added exposure on Twitter, which is where about one third of sales have generated from over the last 5 posts.

The post should consist of only three elements:

  • Name
  • Price
  • How to contact

So not to waste anyone’s precious time, any post that strays from this will be deleted. Examples:

  • More than three names listed
  • A paragraph to describe the reasons why someone should buy.
  • Critiquing another poster’s domain name.
  • Listing price over $500
  • Any extension other than .com

No need to post or email why did my comment get deleted ? If your post does not look like Name, Fixed Price, Contact, it will be deleted.
