Aron Meystedt just sent out an email on OC.com
OC.com is Available for the First Time since 1991!
I will make this quick. OC.com, first registered in 1991 by the current owners, is for sale.
The target price is $850,000.
As you may know, Orange County, CA, is the 6th most populated county in the United States with a population of over 3 million. It’s an affluent area of the country and it is part of the “tech coast.” I live in Irvine (right in the middle of Orange County).
Of course, the name could be used for ANYTHING.
Contact me if you have interest. Please no low offers on this one. The seller’s aren’t desperate but we did catch them at the right time.

Wow, another insanely cheap offering for the right end users. $850k should be at worst the opening bid in an auction for this one, not the BIN.

Interesting absence of additional comments here… 😉
This one also serves as a valuable case in point in the question of “longer” vs. “shorter.”
For example, the longer 5 character Black.com is unquestionably worth millions and far more valuable than OC.com, and yet it is priced at $750k now: http://www.domaininvesting.com/black-com-being-marketed-by-heritage-auctions/

Demand and Supply moves our domain market. It seems no demand or no money on the market. Still a nice profit to sell it for $750K
