TheDomains.com

You have to strike while the iron is hot

April 26, 2017 by Raymond Hackney

Back in July of 2016 a gentleman named Shane Burchett got a lot of press as he had registered TrumpPence2016.com.

TheAtlantic covered Burchett with an article titled, “The Investor Who Bought TrumpPence2016.com in April for $10.”

Burchett is a Dallas investor who guessed right and hoped to cash in for a six figure sum.

My how time flies, the domain was due to expire a couple days ago, as it’s already been a year since Burchett guessed right on Mike Pence being the running mate for Donald Trump. Trump2016 as an fyi is owned by the Trump Organization.

The domain got renewed and Burchett is still the registrant. The domain currently does not resolve.

Back in July here is what Burchett said to The Atlantic:

Now Burchett stands to make some serious money off of his instincts, which ran him about $10. He expects that the return on his investment will be “many multiples of that,” perhaps even “a six-figure valuation.” Burchett was coy about the process, but suggested that it was underway and that he anticipated that things “will happen quickly.” (On Monday morning, he added that discussions were “continuing.”)

Now I have no information of any negotiations that took place. Perhaps Mr.Burchett wanted too much money, perhaps potential prospects just walked away.

Political domains get hot and heavy around election seasons, you need to strike while the iron is hot. When you add a date to the name you have to move even faster. No one cares about ObamaBiden2012.com anymore as it’s available for registration since 2013.

      300 Bitcoin equals $392547.00
I guess he’d be quite happy.

      Groovy

I was going to say the same thing, he would be ecstatic with 300 Bitcoins.

Jokes that failed… mine. I know nothing about bitcoins and I was thinking about arcade tokens. So I’ll try again. Ahem!’ Six figures?! Four maybe… in 2016, now maybe 300 ARCADE tokens. That should make a grin or two.

I’m not surprised he still owns it.

He will never let. That domain expire .its like keeping a lotto ticket till 1 day after expiration that was worth 800 million and now worth nothing. He would never sell it

I wonder how the negotiations went maybe if he would have said ill take 10k now and 200k. If you win the election ,i know trump would see that as a win win and good sportmanship bet ,But then he would pardon his way out of the deal.

Trump doesn’t want it. I’m still holding ReelectTrump.com Never once been contacted by his organization. If you aren’t using it against him, he doesn’t care. He already has what he wants and needs.
