I still haven’t sold any 🙁
Mistake no 1
I started last year without doing any research.
Mistake no 2
I bought names with their .net .info etc equivalents
Mistake no 3
the quality of the names.
Mistake no 4
I spread myself out too much in regards to the industry. From bitcoin to machinery and health to iot
I sometimes think its not a mistake though as im finding out what works and what doesnt.
Mistake no 5
Believing all the hype and that domaining is easy.
Its not. Its like any other job.
The think about it is. I’m a cynic. Ive worked in the mining industry. Thats as cynical as they come. And i fell for the hype. My saving grace is that i was able to spot it earlier than most and avoid making more mistakes than what i have listed. (Ive made a lot more but I’d be writing this for hours if i continued)
Eg i got an offer one and the feeling that i got was brilliant. I’m sure you all know that feeling. Its the buzz. Lol.
Anyway after a minute when the buzz came down i started to think if this guy found my details surely he’d know i also have the App version as well. And I went investigating. I found out that the guy is not what he says he is.
Instant downer. But onwards and upwards.

C2M dot net for $2,500 last year. Sold cheap IMO. But it was my first sale and my first year into domaining so I’d put that on my lack of experience!

Hearing about all these 1999 and 2000 sales makes me wish I’d been around that early. My records show a $1000 .ES sale a few days before Christmas 2011. Didn’t really begin selling until 2012.

Hand reg’d liquidlifestyle.com with the intent of building a surfer clothing brand around it.
Ran out of money for that…but some kids from San Diego had the same idea and bought it from me in late 2007
for 1,000 bux. About that time…I started reading articles about Rick Schwartz & Kevin Ham & Frank Schilling. Jumped in with both feet. Haven’t hit anything I would consider a “homerun”. Haven’t even had consistent sales.
But…all of the sales I’ve made have been in the 4-5 figure range.I suppose I stay with this “hobby” because it’s pretty cool to have a hand in branding the future.Good luck and good fortune to you all.
P.S. liquidlifestyle.com is available these days through some brokerage.
