The .web auction will conclude today and in the opinion of those who participated in the poll, it’s going to be the most expensive new gTLD string.
In a poll posted on TheDomains two weeks ago, we asked readers what they thought the high bid price would be in the ICANN auction being held today.
60% of the voters believe the string will sell for $50 Million or more with almost 20% thinking the string will sell for over $100 Million
Since this is an ICANN auction, the losers will not get to split the proceeds.
The last ICANN auction of a new gTLD resulted in .shop selling for over $41,500,000
