Theo at Domain Gang reported yesterday that Adam Dicker posted on Facebook about DNForum returning on June 1.
Today it looks like the site is now parked on Sedo. That seems like an odd move if the website is coming back in less than two weeks.

I say Boycott dnforum.com if he brings it back up. I see a scenario where he takes subscription fees for 6-months and then shuts it down again. DO NOT trust him.
Anticareer says
Ha he’s probably hoping to make $15 to $20 bucks on parking in the two weeks. He just needs to be dropped from all domain related articles/content/news.
Trevor says
Why does Adam Dicker, yes Google please index that still bother with this crap.
Dicker you are done like a used condom, sorry I had to be so blunt, but I really don’t like you, or how you treat people.

I wrote on DomainGang that I feel like there are too many forums. I think we have enough.
Also, DNForum was dead for at least a year before the Adam Dicker scandal unfolded. Everyone on DNForum saw that it was a ghost town before, during, and after the drama. Back in its heyday, that place would have been booming with discussion about the scandal. But was it? Nope, not a peep.
I personally never liked there being two big forums because everything was spread across them. I’m happier now that there is just one place I need to check: NamePros.
From a business standpoint, parking dnforum.com on Sedo after making an announcement of it “coming soon” is a silly way to earn a couple extra dollars.
Ryan says
DNJOURNAL needs to remove Adam Dicker content also, they should not be advertising
Charley says
I agree wholeheartedly.
Meyer says
DNJ has the right to write about anything they want. Who made you the censor?
DNForum has the right to advertise any place they want. It is up to the publication to decide if they want to accept the advertising.
John says
I virtually never look at any forum now. Only blogs.
Ron Jackson says
Just for the record – neither DNForum, Adam Dicker nor, to my knowledge, any business run by Adam has ever been an advertiser on DNJournal. Ryan and Charley referred to having “content” removed which is something I (and every other journalist I have ever met), am philosophically opposed to. Existing articles reflect what was happening at the time they were written, obviously not what occurred at a later date. Articles I have written over the last 13 years are all part of industry history and I don’t believe in censoring or re-writing history. Refusing to erase what has already been written on any topic does not mean I condone anything someone does at a later point in time. A good deal has been written about Adam’s recent activity by people who had direct dealings with him and personal knowledge of how he does business (neither of which I have had) and I would hope that “content” is not removed from the record either. People can read everything that is out there and draw their own conclusions and that’s how it should be.

So correct Ron.
History is history
thelegendaryjp says
Curious debate, should confederate flags continue to fly as well, history is history. I realize their is a difference (not comparing what Adam did to the horrors of slavery) but also not a difference in the fact history is history.
It seems that America has become the nation of erasing the past at warp speed the last 2-3 years. I agree with Ron, if someone falls we don’t just erase the history. Many of the men and women we read about over the centuries did bad things, we didn’t erase them. Mind you the US is trying hard again to erase Columbus now… ahhh America, land of the politically correct at any cost.
Tom says
History has always been ‘edited’ by the ‘powers that be’ at any given time. Keeping history accurate and true is a long and hard battle that is deservedly fought by hard core journalists and historians. History should have both the high points and the low points accurately portrayed. In an ideal world.
Charley says
Ron, thanks for the clarification.
But, history will be more damaging for people who are unaware of Adam Dicker’s present situation. And everyone doesn’t know about the published threads/articles on domain forums, blogs on Adam Dicker.
For e.g. A novice domainer reading those articles in the current scenario will assume Adam Dicker must be consulted for anything regarding the domain business. It will lead to a disaster.
Len says
Well said Ron
Michael Berkens says
I’m going to weight in and agree with Mr. Jackson 100% that posts should not be retroactively edited or removed and that is our policy as well.
While Ron has quite a few years on me writing articles he certainly said it as well as I could be said:
“Articles I have written over the last 13 years are all part of industry history and I don’t believe in censoring or re-writing history. Refusing to erase what has already been written on any topic does not mean I condone anything someone does at a later point in time.””
I have been asked to remove articles on many occasions (even turning down bribes to do so) but Ron is right.

This is very surprising news.
I was one of its forum members.
