.in look out….watch the Indian domain market. Write that down.
harsh gupta says
some nice sales there, surprising to see no to very few geo sales .
Hopefully geo domains will play a catchup soon.

now add to the picture the threats of nkorea to world stability,
and the possibility china won’t release the free trading of some stocks that have been
tied up for 6 months in their markets, one might expect it will only drive more and more $
into alternative investments

Need.me was purchased at Sedo five years ago, 25 times cheaper.
Steve says
@DNSal.es
The young man had a need for “need.me”, as he intends to develop the domain into a site/app. This isn’t an investment.
You should know this better than anyone, as one who brokered whisper.me for 17 K and fine.me for 10 K.
Advice for those wishing to sell premium .me domains. Do not attempt to sell on Flippa. Not the right venue. Worse advice I’ve ever been given in the domaining industry.
Michael Berkens provided help and solid advice. One reason why his reputation in the Industry is solid. He also always responds to emails within a reasonable period of time — hence, Michael’s popularity and well-deserved eteem.

Where is the best place to sell premium .me ?
Steve says
@Ramahn
I agree. Also I’m getting more offers and inquiries from India than China these days.
I don’t own any .in domains. But I’d imagine great key words combined with .in could fetch high prices.
best of luck!

Thanks Steve. One interesting thing I’ve noticed is that the Chinese are buying dot in’s. I hedged a while back and picked up a couple keyword in’s. All offers on my dot coms in the past few months have come from people in India, it’s crazy.
I always enjoy your posts/insight. Take care and blessings for you too in 2016.

Curious about all the Payment and Pay sales over the last few months.
I see Pay.kr (korea) sold for $25000
Pay.Vn (viet nam) sold for 10,000 Euros
I have had several offers via SEDO for 2 of my premium Pay & Payment domains in 2 extensions (not .com), which I declined.
Also one party has been buying up many of these domains: payment.com , payments.com, payment.de and payment.co,uk, payment.pl and many more
Any brokers wish to apprach the buyer for me. I’m a great negotiator but a terrible call caller salesman. Thnx

My typos continue.
Maybe it’s time I see a doctor, something I haven’t done in many years 🙂

@Wadodo — Definitely NOT Flippa. This is a venue for selling .io domains, LLL. domains, NNN. domains, and sellers seeking cash for a lot (e.g. 40) brabandable and 2-3 word .com domains.
Most buyers have approached me (no pun intended) — usually all end users, and most were based in either Silicon Valley or Europe. And some sales via SEDO.
I haven’t tried BrandBucket, but I understand the founder(s) have a pipeline into venture capital groups, most likely for those parties to acquire domains for companies they’ve funded. A lot of tech founders are super at product development, but have trouble with branding. Peekaboo.com reached a peek of 2000 visitors per month and was almost shut down. In fact, one of the founders left the Company. Changed the name of the app to Snapchat.com and the rest is history — by year’s end, Snapchat will be far more valuable than Twitter, or as it was first called Twittr.
There should be a venue for selling domains strictly to endusers — like BrandBucket. 12 years ago I worked for a branding company which received 7 figure assignments just to name a pharmaceutical.
