“”1) What technology stack does the platform use? Where are the servers located? Who maintains them? How much do they cost? What do you foresee a migration looking like?
BOZ platform software consists of three parts – Public website, backoffice and catching software. Both public website and backoffice are written on Python (Django framework) backed by MySQL database and run on Linux operating system. Catching software is written on Java (including fast EPP protocol implementation) and run on Linux servers. Servers are provided by US hosting company and located in optimal strategical location. Each server is an average one (Dual core with 4Gb RAM) costs around $175. Migration would include installation, tuning and testing all mentioned software on buyers hardware. Public website and backoffice can be ran anywhere in the world. We recommend keep the catching servers in their current data center. Contact us for more details…

7) In your opinion if someone like Snapnames or NameJet were to buy BOZ, would they be able to take your tech/scripts and increase theirdrop catch rate across all their existing/current registrars?
Considering the fact that we do capture on average more domains per registrar and in the same time have the ability to catch premium names, we could easily have more advanced and efficient capturing platform then other clubs. So yes, absolutely they will increase the catch rate across all their existing/current registrars. Contact us for more information… “”

Hum…looking back now, before Pheenix went all auction us, and now this…that time was a golden period. Godaddy backorders here we come again! Now, too many chasers again, less names, less options…
Garth says
Compete? They hardly get a thing these days.

Expired domain drop catcher is about to be caught. Interesting!

I also used Backorderzone but now I moved to a company where I can backorder domains on Snapnames, Pheenix, Dropcatch at the same time. I use Auctionbond.com, but let me know if you know any better option!

The one thing FS doesn’t have that I’ve been baffled by is he doesn’t have a dropcatch system. Acquire BOZ and integrate it into Uniregistrar and/or for his personal dropcatches.
Jim says
Who says FS doesn’t already have one and you just don’t have access to it. Do you think he really bought all of his names by paying a premium for them.
Tony says
He is a customer of NJ, Snap, Dropcatch, etc, like the rest of us.
Jim says
Sure, we all know who he is. But he has also bought hundreds of thousands of domains by backordering himself. Name me one registrar who hasn’t.
