Here we go with the latest Domain Movers:
A currently unknown MarkMonitor client using generic whois data registered several domain names relating to “video” and aerial, with domain names like VideoAero.com, VideoAircraft.com, VideoAviation.com, VideoJetSales.com / .net and VideoOceanic.com
Trion Worlds Inc. registered the domain names AtlasReactor.com and AtlasReactorGame.com on July 29, 2015. Both domain names have now been set to name servers with Trion but currently do not resolve to a website.
Trion also filed two trademarks for Atlas Reactor, one being this logo and a similar logo. Both were filed August 7, 2015.
Trion also filed an earlier trademark for simply “Reactor” in a December 29, 2014 filing.
Trion Worlds Inc. owns a little over 100 domain names and has games called Devilian, Trove, Rift, Defiance and ArcheAge.
CPA Australia Ltd has purchased the domain name CPATv.com, a domain name that has been registered since September 1, 2011 and was using DomainNameSales.com at the time of registrant change. The domain was owned by a Susannah Bolton prior at Name.com and the domain has since transferred to CSC Corporate Domains.
Frito-Lay North America, Inc. registered 6 new domain names and those are: FanMyFace.com, FanPainterPro.com, GameYourFace.com, GetMyGameFaceOn.com, MyFanFace.com and MyGamdeDayFace.com
Bayer AG registered the domain names MyPetBasics.com, ThePetBasics.com and YourPetBasics.com. Bayer has since purchased the domain name PetBasics.com as well, which was listed at Afternic for $6,000 and took place about September 4, 2015 according to whois records. The 3 domains they registered, was done on August 28, 2015.
Microsoft Corporation has registered the domain name Mixathon.org but currently does not own Mixathon.com according to whois records, but the domain was recently grabbed on the drop on July 22, 2015. Whois shows it’s owned by Best Domains Limitedada, S.A.
Microsoft also has taken ownership of SoftwareRepository.com, which was acquired with the help of “The Negotiator Agency, Inc.” according to whois records from a Douglas Peters of Sioux Falls South Dakota.
Tucows has potentially sold the domain name Rhone.com. The domain name still retains Tucows.com Co information in whois records but the domain name now resolves to RhoneApparel.com and name servers have changed to GoDaddy hosting.
Guest.com has changed ownership. The domain name was owned by Jason A. Tully and it has since transferred to corporate domain provider SafeNames LTD.
The domain has been registered since August 13, 1997 and has been under privacy protection for many years, only revealing Jason just before transferring ownership and registrars. Who are the potential buyers? That is currently not known and only time will likely reveal that.
Disney Enterprises, Inc. registered 3 similar domain names and those were DisneyJigsaw.com, DisneyJigsawApp.com and DisneyJigsawGiveaway.com
CrowdChoice.com has been acquired by Overstock.com according to whois records. The domain name was owned by GammaWave Internet Solutions and went into privacy protection on June 24, 2015. On August 28, 2015 the domain name came out of whois protection and showing Overstock.com as the new registrant.
Google Inc. has launched a new wireless router called OnHub and according to whois records, has not secured the exact match domain name OnHub.com. The domain name is currently owned by Omar Benguerah. Google is using the sub-domain On.Google.com
The Hershey Company, which acquired Brookside Foods Ltd. in 2011, has launched a new advertising campaign with the integrated name of “Talk About Delicious” which is used at the end of each ad spot but did not secure the matching domain name for the term, TalkAboutDelicious.com. That domain name was registered on August 18, 2015 by Internet Names & Slogans, LLC.
Brookside Chocolate started launching videos on YouTube on August 17, 2015. It is common for companies to secure and use a matching slogan name as a domain name, simply because the campaign term is so dominantly used in the ad.
Time Warner Inc. has registered the domain name HBOTonight.com. The domain name was registered at GoDaddy prior and recently expired in June 2015.
Research In Motion (RIM) has allowed the typo domain name Blackbarry.com (a instead of e) to expire and the domain name was released from the registry on August 30, 2015 and grabbed on the drop by Namware.com (Directi registrar). This domain name was likely grabbed by a backorder as name servers were set to InterimNameServer.com. The new owner according to whois is Zhenhua Bin and the domain is parked with Bodis, displaying… well, you guessed it. Mobile ads, and Blackberry ads.
T-Mobile USA, Inc. has registered the domain names T-MobileBuzz.com and TMobileBuzz.com. TMobile also registered the gTLD domain names TMobile.Buzz and T-Mobile.buzz
Bows.com has been acquired by Jeremiah Johnson’s Etomic Media Holdings, LLC in a deal that was handled by Escrow.com. I reached out to the seller, Michael Manley for comment but he kindly declined due to a non-disclosure agreement.
It appears that Bows.com is in process of building a website using WordPress and will offer outdoors / hunting related items, as the site is in the building process.
CoStar Realty Information, Inc. announced on April 29, 2015 that they were acquiring competitor ApartmentFinder.com and the domain name has now transferred ownership, along with NCI.com which was used by Network Communications, Inc. who was acquired for $170 Million according to the press release from Costar Group. NCI appears to have owned around a couple hundred domain names and a couple other domains I checked that NCI had owned, like ApartmentLocator.com are also now owned by Costar Realty Information, Inc. Costar had also recently acquired the domain name Land.com as I mentioned in late July 2015. They have been building a powerhouse domain name portfolio as they also own the domain names Apartment.com and Apartments.com to mention a few.
Kellogg Company is in the process of moving what it appears to be its whole domain name portfolio from MarkMonitor to CSC Corporate Domains as I have noticed A LOT of domains moving by the company between the two registrars. According to DomainTools.com, Kellogg Company owns about 2,600 domain names.
AXA Investment Managers SA has purchased the domain name GetReady.net. The domain name was owned by BuyDomains.com and had a buy now of $2,588. The domain has been registered since July 13, 2003. GetReady.com is owned by GoDaddy and was part of the Marchex domain name portfolio. GetReady.com has a “make offer” with an offer minimum of $75,000.
AB Electrolux has purchased the domain name ToastTheHost.com from HugeDomains.com. The domain name had a $2,395 buy now price in October 2014 to give a general idea of the price. According to whois records, the transaction took place June 5, 2015.
