4 new gTLD extensions launched this week into General Availability (GA) where the could be registered into a 1st come, 1st served basis.
Including domain names registered in Sunrise by trademark holders and before GA (.Fans did not have a landrush or an Early Access Program) here are the total number of domain registrations according to ntldstats.com as of the last zone update:
.Amsterdam 12,681
.FYI 1,159
.MBA 701
.Fans 653
.Fans as I said above did not have a landrush or an Early Access Period so all the domains not reserved we made available.
I got noticed that while all of the team names were reserved, for example Gators and Seminoles I think with the extension .fans the singular of the team was available so for example we wound up registering Gator.Fans and Seminole.Fans which I think makes more sense and a better domain.
.Fans domain registrations were priced just under $70 and about half of the 623 registrations were in the Sunrise Period by Trademark Holders.
.FYI and .MBA were both Donuts extension so they had a 5 day Early Access Program were people could pay additional fees to get early registration ahead of GA.
I only got one .MBA domain, GetYour.MBA and didn’t get any .FYI domains.
Andy Brier says
.Amsterdam is currently standing at 18,128 domains in the zone.

.MBA was amazingly empty with most LL.MBA available.
Of course top keywords like executive.mba international.mba quick.mba fast.mba were snatched in the first day but one could have pretty everything in the first hours of going live. Not sure whether the top schools got their names but harvard.mba stanford.mba are all gone by now. Amazingly more, they cost $23.99.
Most L.MBA where priced either $249 or $999. And many are still available… Great extension, in a small niche though.

The greatest miss, personally was cara.mba 😉
aycara.mba is still there for some jolly folks.
