A UDRP (D2015-1566) has been filed to gain control of the 3 letter domain name Zic.com . The URDP was filed by the company SK Lubricants Americas, a subsidiary of SK Innovations on September 2, 2015.
The domain name Zic.com was acquired during a Ha.com domain name auction in February 2015 for $18,400 USD.
SK Lubricants Americas filed a trademark on December 22, 2003 for the term: Zic and the trademark has an active status for good and services: “Lubricating oil, all purpose spray type lubricants, coal, gasoline, kerosene, general purpose grease, fuel oil, liquefied petroleum gas, paraffin wax, diesel oil“.
SK Lubricants had considered an IPO for several years but recently stated in July 2015 that they were not filing an IPO because “Its financial health has improved”.
According to Bloomberg.com: “SK Lubricants Co., Ltd. manufactures and distributes base oil and lubricant oil worldwide. The company offers passenger car motor oil, diesel engine oil, small engine oil, ATF and gear oil, hydraulic oil, grease, marine oil, and under-the-hood oil under the ZIC brand name.”
According to whois records, Zic.com is currently owned by Andrea Sabatini of Webservices Limited of Hong Kong and the domain name is using domain parking provider ParkingCrew.com . Andrea Sabatini appears in whois records on March 10, 2015 when the registrant whois records changed from DomainCapital.com LLC.

The UDRP filing has a current status of “Case Active”. We will keep an eye on this case for any future developments.

Zic.com Creation Date: 2003-09-06T18:25:35Z
SK Lubricants Americas filed a trademark on December 22, 2003 for the term Zic
The only thing going against domain holder is that there is links on Zic.com website relating to trademark terms.
Should however the first original creation date of Zic.com was earlier then 2003-09-06T18:25:35Z, then SK Lubricants Americas has a clear case of RDNH going against them.

And the fact that Ms. Sabatini just recently acquired the domain in 2015 well after the TM was filed.
Shows poor judgement to park a page and fill it with adds directly relating to the TM in question. Both ParkingCrew and Ms. Sabatini let the ball drop there.
