The organizers of THE Domain Conference just published the final Ballot for the Domain Industry Awards for 2015.
Last week a ballot with over 100 nominees went live for voting and although a record number of votes were cast, no one candidate in any category received more than 50% of the votes, so there is a runoff for each Award.
Every person or company that received 10% of the votes cast in that category qualified for the run-off.
THE Domain Conference wants to thank ESCROW.COM for once again for receiving and counting all of the ballots.
THE BALLOTS MUST BE RECEIVED BY ESCROW.COM BY 5PM TUESDAY PST/ 8PM EST.
The following is the official run-off ballot for each category for the Domain Industry Awards for 2015.
We congratulation all the nominees.
Here is the information from the conference organizers:
You may vote for 1 person or company in each category (except Hall of Fame where you can vote for two)
“”Lobbying for your favorites is encouraged.
Ballots MUST BE submitted to VOTE@ESCROW.COM on this official form in order to be counted. Any ballot submitted for only one person will not be counted in order to avoid ballot box stuffing.”
Just COPY and PASTE the below ballot and submit no later than 5 P.M. PDT, Tuesday, September 1st to VOTE@ESCROW.COM. “
“Winners will be announced at the Awards Luncheon at THE Domain Conference on Tuesday, September 29th. To be there, just go to THEDomainConference.com to register.”

Christopher hofman says
Do you have to be American to be nominated ;)?
Michael Berkens says
Christopher no you don’t
Many people have won TRAFFIC awards in the past that are non-American including Frank Schilling who won more awards than anyone else, Gregg McNair, Sedo (which is based on Germany) plenty of people and it only take one person to nominate someone which is why there were so many people in ballot that lead to the run off ballot
striker says
Berkens wins blogger of the year, hands down. the competition in that category isn’t even close in quality of content.
Paul says
Agreed
Michael Berkens says

Appreciate the support but Mr. Cyger has won this award in two of the past three years, Elliot has also won in the past, Andrew has not won in the past but I have no idea why.
striker says
I guess, but if you look at elliots blog, he only writes 1-2 very short posts per day now and they’re mostly fluff, and very few people comment on his blog as compared to a few years ago…I’m actually shocked that he is up for this award for this year. Andrew’s blog has good content. Cyger is ok, not as good as thedomains though
Domain Shame says
Agreed Elliotts blog is a joke who ever read Graziano’s blog ? that’s a joke. I think the domain conference is a joke with three ballots to get to a winner. Some categories now have two choices last week it said three but then some have five? when do the domainers choice awards come out ?
Charlotte GIlbert says
Mr. Shame,
The nomination phase for the Domainer’s Choice Awards will begin September 15-October 1 2015. We just updated the site to reflect the current changes as well as updating the nomination categories from last year!
http://domainerschoiceawards.com/2015-domainers-choice-categories/
Mr. Berkens is correct. We should all support one another when it comes to recognizing everyone’s tireless efforts.
Domain Shame says
Thank you Charlotte.

I’m not familiar with Giuseppe’s blog. I know he’s an excellent broker.
The other gentlemen do an outstanding job with their blogs, but TheDomains.com is the most informative, with Andrew’s second.
Good luck, Michael!
Elliot Silver says
>>>> “he only writes 1-2 very short posts per day now”
Yes, my blog has never been the main focus of my business. I think since the beginning in 2007, I have averaged the same number of articles per day. Some days I give my blog more attention, and other days I focus on more important things. Mike has three writers, and I am the only writer on my blog. I appreciate the time all bloggers put into writing about the industry. Mike, Ray, and Jamie do a great job here, and I am a regular visitor.
>>>> “very few people comment on his blog as compared to a few years ago”
I don’t agree with this. The weekends are usually slow for comments, but I would bet the average number of comments per article has been fairly consistent. If there weren’t many comments, I would probably close comment section totally to avoid the annoyances that come along with them. Some articles have lots of comments and some don’t. I guess it depends on the interest level of the topic.
>>>> “I’m actually shocked that he is up for this award for this year.”
I was very surprised to be one of the two finalists for domainer of the year. I think there are far more deserving people than me.
Michael Berkens says
Hey guys a few things here
Lets not beat up on anyone who is nominated.
People voted the results of the first ballot resulted in the run off which is well explained as being those who got 10% or more of the votes.
Personally I would have liked to see those who got the 1st 5 highest amount of votes in each category go into the run off so you didn’t start with 20 people as Domain Investor of the year each needing 10% of the vote to move on, I think the top 5 finisher should have moved on but its not my deal, and no one asked my opinion on how it should have been run.
Then each category would have had 5 finalists (except hall of fame since there are two elected)
As far as Elliot he obviously has a loyal audience, as we all do otherwise we wouldn’t have gotten the 10% or more and Elliot has won as many blog of the year awards as I have so respect
For the record Although I have two other writers 90% of the stories Raymond writes are stories I sent him to write and I go in and make changes which is sometime why with the Amazon story last night you can see the titled changed.
Jamie who does some of the best research in the industry sends me what he finds and often, including today for example I wind up doing a lot of changes to the stories, including changing headlines and adding and removing substantial parts of the stories so its a lot of help but its not like they right whatever and publish it.
Jamie started on March 26th so this is his 5th month.
I’m not going to address GIUSEPPE who as far as I know used to write for domainholdings.com when he worked there but I’m not aware of him having a regularly published blog.
However all other nominees are very hard working guys who publish, or in the case of Mr. Cyger broadcasts, valuable information on a regular basis (he has also won twice) and deserve respect and thanks of the community.
Again congrats to all nominees in all categories.
Domain Shame says
Raymond with that remark from Berkens you are a damn fool to write here.
striker says
Although unintended I’m sure…yeah that was a pretty big public dis, for both those guys.
Raymond Hackney says
Wow this thread got a bit crazy to be fair, the Amazon post needed no editing because it was my story, Mike wanted to add things about 3d that previously had been written before. Just to expand upon the 3d theme, that’s fine.
We do try to tweak things here as Michael can attest I have edited or changed several of his posts for things like structure, grammar and punctuation. It is good when you have multiple eyes checking things out. Sometimes that gets missed and a reader points something out.
