Steven Kaziyev is a New York based domain investor who operates sites at CityPartners.com, YourBrand.com, and DomainCrunch.com (I do write at Domain Crunch). Steve recently won the auction for the 112 domain portfolio of .NYC domains on Flippa. The auction closed at $3,780 and you can see a list of the domains here.
Steve told me he was really interested in about 30 of the names on the list, he currently holds closes to 500 .NYC domains. A name like MensWatches.nyc he said was one of interest. He said he had a relative who knows that business and that a lot of tourists are interested in jewelry from a NYC jeweler.
“The good names on the list justified the purchase price of the entire 112 domain portfolio.”
He has put some of the names up on YourBrand.com which is a brandable boutique like BrandBucket, only this is not open to other sellers. So far he has a couple prospects interested but no sales as of yet. It will be interesting to see if a new gtld can gain any transaction using the brandable model with the logo and description.

I have many .NYCs and followed the Flippa auction and even read Steve’s comments in the WSJ article on .NYC last year. When I saw the title of the article I thought this was going to be an interview. This is an intro, where’s the rest?

he was in a hurry, that was all he gave me for this post.

good stuff – if anyone can make it work – Steve will be at the top of the list just like Page and the .LA deal
