Doron Vermaat says
At $29 reg-fee per name the seller made a “profit” of $450.
Snoopy says
Sounds suspect, why would multiple people bid it to that level? Seems Flippa is now not disclosing details about bidders so it is very hard to trace.
Looking at his profile it also shows car-rental-deals.net as being sold at auction for $45 several years ago. That one doesn’t make much sense to me either and it was later left to expire.
Domo Sapiens says
A Whooping $35 per domain…
How much did the cost to register?
DK says
Well, reality is, there is some decent domains and most are not worth much or nothing (in turkish). Hence the buyer really paid for top 20-30 names. Unfortunately for seller, since .nyc auctions are not that big yet.
Wesly says
The reg fee is $39.99 at GoDaddy. I agree with DK, the buyer seems to pay around $120 for the best 30 names..I think the buyer got a good deal.
Tom says
Well, it shows the portfolio was sold via Buy It Now.
I think the seller wasn’t looking as much to make profit but actually to dump the load and recoup his initial investment before renewals which it looks like he has.
Dk says
Tom, Yep, looks like it. Somebody probably tried domaining, realized it might not be for them and jumped out. Still able to recoup costs. Not bad. I think buyer got an excellent deal, some nice one words and good generic two words.
