Verisign the registry for the .com registry has announced the Grand Prize Winner of it’s #InternetOfficial contest. It’s KidsCookDinner.com, registered through Network Solutions.
I was one of the five judges selected by Verisign to judge the contest however the Grand Prize winner was selected by the public.
“”New York-based Kate K. submitted the most descriptive, memorable and original new .COM domain name that resonated with our five judges and received the most votes from the public during the Grand Prize Entry Period Voting Phase, earning Kate K. the #InternetOfficial Contest Grand Prize of $30,000! ”
“According to KidsCookDinner.com, its goal is to get children thinking about the importance of sharing food with family and friends, appreciating the process and getting children to cook more in the kitchen.
It was exciting to see all of the creative .COM domain names submitted by our entrants, as well as the unique, entrepreneurial drive that is embodied within many of the submissions. You voted and voted, so a big thank you to all who took the time to cast their votes day in and day out, as well as a thank you to those who submitted their most descriptive, memorable and original .COM domain names.
We encourage each and every one of you to register the .COM domain name you’ve always wanted. Whether it’s putting your business online for the first time or simply registering a hip .COM name, check out some domain name tips from our industry #InternetOfficial contest judges for inspiration: domain expert Michael Berkens, small business expert Anita Campbell and branding expert Steve Manning.
