Research In Motion allowed the domain name Rim.co to expire and it was grabbed by Hexonet GmbH
Amazon Technologies, Inc. registered the domain name AmazonMinions.com for a partnership deal they made with Universal Pictures and Illumination Entertainment to turn Amazon shipping boxes yellow and display the upcoming movie in July 2015. They use www.amazon.com/minions on the box.
To note, Illumination does not own the domain name Minions.com
Amazon also registered the domain name AmazonOrginals.com
Infor Enterprise Solutions Holdings INC has sold the two letter .com domain name FS.com to a JunYao of Beijing China.
Bra.com has been acquired by Hangzhou Duomai E-Commerce Co.,Ltd (owners of 4.cn) from “Yu Jiehao” of Guang Dong China according to whois records. Yu acquired the domain name on April 30, 2013 from a Jerry Skia of Ontario Canada. Jerry appears to have acquired the domain name from DotzUp in August 2012 when Sedo brokered the domain name for $165,000 USD. The domain name has been registered since July 27, 1994 and the current sales price is currently unknown.
A very large amount of domain names have been registered relating to several Star Wars characters and Visa credit cards. The .com | .net | .org domain names were registered and some of the domain names include: DisneyStarWarsVisa.com, SkywalkerCard.com, VaderCreditCard.com, ForceAwakensCard.com, DarthVaderCreditCard.com, IsTheForceInYourWallet.com, JoinTheForceRewards.com, LightSaberCard.com, StarWarsVisa.com and many more. All of the domain names registered are currently under generic whois data so it is not clear which company registered them. Disney or Visa are two that may have.
Home Box Office, Inc. registered the domain name LeapButton.com adding to its nearly 2,000 other domain names in its portfolio. They also registered the domain BallersTailgate.com
Google Inc. registered the domain name Fiber-Community.com and has acquired the domain name SidewalkInc.com from HugeDomains.com. The domain had a listing price of $1,695. This domain was put under DnStinations Inc in whois, but DNS was set to Google. Several other “sidewalk” domain names were also registered at MarkMonitor, including: Sidewalk-Labs.com, SidewalkHoldings.com, SidewalkL.com, SidewalkLabsInc.com / .net, SidewalkLabsTech.com and SidewalksLab.com.
Google also registered the domain name ChromeCleanupTool.com
Johnson & Johnson registered the domain names MoistMultifocal.com, 1DayMultifocalContactLenses.com and 1DayMultifocalContacts.com. They also registered the domains HivWisdom.com, PresbyopiaContacts.com and AdvantageBiosenseWebsteremea.com
TastyMoments.com has been acquired by Unilever Plc with the assistance of NetNames. The domain had a listing price of $1,795.
MrsDoubtFireOnStage.com and MrsDoubtFireTheShow.com have been registered by a currently unknown MarkMonitor client using generic whois data.
Flextronics International USA, Inc. has acquired the domain name FlexSolutions.com, a domain name that has been registered since September 30, 1998. The company Brand Certified Inc. helped to acquire the domain from a Terra Serve on or about May 28, 2015 when the domain was registered with Rebel.com.
PopParty.com has been acquired by a currently unknown MarkMonitor client from BuyDomains.com. The domain sold for $2,722.
Facebook Inc. has acquired the domain name QuickfireNetwork.com from a Mike Coward who registered the domain name less than a year ago on June 6, 2014. Doing a little further digging, Facebook acquired QuickFire Networks on January 8, 2015. They were using the domain name QuickFire.tv as its main domain name. The service offers video-compression.
Toll Brothers Inc. registered the domain name TollFit.com adding to its domain name portfolio of about 1,600 domain names.
WindWise.com has been acquired by a currently unknown MarkMonitor client. The domain name was using DomainNameSales.com.
Roll Global LLC which just announced its rebranding effort to Wonderful, has acquired the domain names WonderfulClinic.com, WonderfulHealthClinic.com, WonderfulHealthAndWellness.com and WonderfulMedicine.com.
In August 2014 I had detected that Roll Global had acquired Wonderful.com and a lot of wonderful+keyword domain names.
Tesla Motors is in the process of transferring all of its domain names from GoDaddy to MarkMonitor. They own a couple hundred domain names and growing.
Travel Leaders Group, LLC has transferred the domain name Vacation.com and Vacation-Corp.com from CSC Corporate Domains to MarkMonitor. They own a little over 500 domain names.
DreamWorks II Distribution Co LLC which registered the domain names BridgeOfSpies.com / .net on November 24, 2014 has launched a website on the domain and features a movie staring Tom Hanks and directed by Steven Spielberg that is available October 16, 2015.
FremantleMedia Limited has registered the domain name LifeOfOthers.com. The domain was registered in the past but expired in 2013.
Capita plc registered the domain name SignalShares.com adding to its 1,900 plus other domain names they own.
1-800-FLOWERS.COM, INC. has acquired the domain name SmileCard.com with the help of attorney Michael Sparling on March 24, 2015.
SoulCycle, LLC registered the domain name TapItBack.com adding to its domain name portfolio of about 100 domain names.
GoDaddy.com has sold the following domain names out of its recently acquired Marchex domain name portfolio: BestParts.com, EnglishFilms.com, FieldGate.com, GeekGifts.com and GlobalCrafts.com
Paramount Pictures has registered the domain name ResetThePast.com and ResetTheFuture2015.com
Hangzhou Duomai E-Commerce Co.,Ltd. has acquired several domain names from Nucom.com that are all the same pattern. They acquired TFFF.com, SKKK.com, PBBB.com, CYYY.com, CDDD.com, FFFH.com, FFFP.com, KMMM.com, NGGG.com RDDD.com, RLLL.com and a couple repeaters: WTWT.com, RHRH.com as well as SUOU.com and ERRU.com
Staples, Inc. registered the domain name iWalkedTheField.com adding to its domain name portfolio of over 1,500+ domain names.
Electronic Arts Inc. registered the domain name DiceMirrorsEdge.com adding to its large domain name portfolio of over 5,600+ domain names. They also registered MirrorsEdgeCatalyst.com, EAMirrorsEdge.com, EAMirrorEdge.com and EAMirrorsEdgeCatalyst.com.
To note: EA has owned the domain name MirrorsEdge.com for years but a new game is being launched called Mirrors Edge Catalyst.
Sony Music Entertainment registered the domain name WildHeartExperience.com adding to its domain portfolio of over 6,800+ domain names.
