Five new gTLD new domain extensions launched into general availability (GA) yesterday.
Including domain names registered during the Sunrise period by Trademark holders and those registered for an extra fee in the Early Access Program (RAP) here are the totals after the first day of GA.
.One 3,434
.Chat 1,826
.Style 1,033
.Tennis 733
.Bingo 472
As for .One a substantial percentage, over 45% were registered at German based United-Domains and their sister registrar 1and1.com. At 1and1.com the rack rate for a .One domain name registration is priced at $6.99.
The owner of the .One registry registered 279 of the 3,434 domain itself like The.One

What are your thoughts on .ONE, Mike? Just another gTLD or a good generic alternative to .COM?
Dan Haas says
.One is a long-term winner here. It’s a viable and sensible alternative to .Com as a new generic. There are some premium .One names, but most names are NOT premium and pricing the .One domains at $7 – $10 / year is a good price point. It is also $7 – $10 year for RENEWALS, which is one of the key things to consider.
Yes, .One is not .Web. But frankly, .One is something special. We will continue to see this one grow.
Full disclosure: I own three .One names.
Nick says
I agree, which is why I picked up about 25 of them. Got a few LLL and some EM high search volumes.
Dan Haas says
Good call. I only got three .One domains. But they are three very strong domain names. I plan on developing two of them into enterprise level sites (I hope). The other one I might list for sale in about a year.

Right now in my opinion there are too many generic new G’s that can be an alternative to .com making buying them for the purposes of reselling them for anything substantial unlikely.
we have just to mention a few .now .web .xyz .link, .click, .site .website, .one
So I still like the brandables so The.One would be a domain I would register but not like a random realestate.one

Yet another group of really stupid gtlds destined to wither on the tld vine and die, taking investor’s and registrant’s money with them.
Stop the insanity. These gtlds are getting more and more and more ridiculous as they become more and more worthless.

If you think gTLDs are bad, wait until you read about how Donuts is combining gTLDs to make junk like .PizzaRepair. No joke.
Dan Haas says
LOL @ .PizzaRepair
Raymond says
Bought 2 names.
Smartf.one (smartfone)
Mobilef.one (mobilefone.com sold $65260 in 2007)

I have similar hacks, but not using the Portuguese language? What do you think about domain hacks in general and there relative value?
On a side not did anyone ever make any money selling a .com hack? Is it possible?
Could one be enginee.com?
