Donuts has won the right to operate another new gTLD extension .Family beating Google and Uniregistry.
Uniregistry just won the rights to operate the new gTLD .Mom over the weekend beating Google and Rightside.
It would think if you won one of these new gTLD’s you would want the other.
I don’t know how many people or companies, in a world of 1,000 choices of domain extension would choose either of these to use to identify their online presence but I would think if you had one you would want the other one
If you’re wondering Google which lost the private auction for both .Mom and .Family was the sole applicant for .Dad so basically those three will be operated by three different company’s.
.Family was scheduled to go into a ICANN Last Resort auction later this month.
