Publicly traded company BIMobject announced today that the company have acquired the top level domain name BIM.COM.
The company is traded on the NASDAQ OMX exchange as BIM.
CEO and founder, Stefan Larsson said:
“Acquiring BIM.COM is an exciting step toward increasing our market penetration. BIM.COM is an under utilised asset that we can unlock to reach its full potential”, says,
“A premium domain like BIM.COM will improve and protect our digital platform as the premier destination. It will improve search engine rankings and generate traffic as well as being a virtual asset.”
The domain name BIM.com appears to have been sold by someone in China.
The price was not disclosed.

BIM.com seller also sold WFM.com to Whole Foods Market recently. He also sold SGO.com in October 2014. Still owns a couple like LAA.com, ASZ.com and EBJ.com

Not everyone can do what you can do Mike, they don’t have your portfolio, your money or your income. Not every LLL.com is going to go for six figures. PUG.com just went last night for $31,600 to an end user, that I don’t believe was ever paying six figures.

Something seems a little fishy IMO with some of the domains that the Pug.com owner has. Whois has changed on all the following recently:
