Domainholdings.com in a company blog post today, said they brokered almost $31 Million dollars in domain names in 2014
Domain Holdings issued its combined Q4 and Annual 2014 report today
In the 4th Quarter Q4 Domainholdings.com sold $8,086,642 in total domain name sales.
Some of the sales brokered in 2014 included:
49.com | Idea.com | Phonics.com |
Addiction.com | Flying.com | Publish.com |
DN.com | Jumbo.com | Stock.com |
Expat.com | MX.com | Study.com |
House.com | Organize.com | WP.org |
Some of the main highlights from Q4 include:
- $622,049 Average Weekly Sales
- $26,323 Average Domain Sales.
- 72.38% of ALL Sales End Users **
The top two markets for buyers of domains at DomainHoldings.com were those located in the US and China.
A few other interesting notes from the report:
76.7% of all sales were .Com
77% of our sales in Q4 were 10 characters or less
Domainholidngs.com made some predictions for 2015:
- Greater investment from China for premium domains with a slow down in LLLL.com sales due to scare inventory. (LLLL.com values are expected to increase, just the number of sales will be much lower due to a possible holding position by many current owners.)
- Higher number of Private Premium Sales reported
- Continued higher aftermarket sales for the New GTLD’s
- Further tightening of quality standards for defining a premium domain name.
- Higher values for premium one word .org’s
accent says
….. “Further tightening of quality standards for defining a premium domain name.”
They are joking, right? Further tightening of what standards?
On the other side that is a mighty pretty list of domains they sold, and I agree about LLLL.coms becoming more scarce as the Chinese roll up the loose ones.
