Domain Trump has filed a UDRP on the domain name Trumpcard.com
The domain name TrumpCard.com was first registered in 1998.
While the Donald owns some casinos or at least has his name on them, the term Trump Card has a meaning well before the time there was a Donald Trump and well before he ever owned a casino.
The domain is owned under privacy since 2011.
The last time it was owned by someone not under privacy it was owned by a E. Dillon, of London, and a click on the page by the word Trumpcard.com will generate an email to Mr. Dillion of London.
As for the Donald he uses the term Trump Card for his frequent travelers card and has been trademark multiple times since 2000.
I even had a Trump Card.
However based on the address of Mr. Dillion his registration of Trumpcard.com might outdate the registered trademark, but a couple of years.
This will be an interesting one to follow.

Trump has been building his “Brand” for over 50 years re his father. He’ll win this one-as he should( like him or not) and if he doesn’t he’ll head to Federal Court.

Donald Trump is complete arrogant arse as far as I am concerned , and it is unfortunate that he is going to have a “walk over” on this one for reasons I will not make public in case it helps him (and it is not his TM).

i guess I am missing something here.
when I hear the term trump card I think of the generic term not Donald trump
johnuk says
@BrianWick ah yes, but Donald “arrogant” Trump thinks that HE owns the World and everything belongs to him. Arsehole that he is. He cam eto Scotland to build a Golf Course and allegedly walked over quite a few people and pissed them off. Then he got permission to build the Golf Course despite their objections etc. THEN when Scotland built wind turbines in the area he has/had the audacity to start legal proceedings in regard to those turbines. Anyway hope he and his wig/hair whatever that godforsaken stuff on top of his head is will be gone from the planet sometime soon.

unless there is a specific commercial reference to Donald trump the panel will deny.
at the same time id the Donald really has a case he would have just filed in federal court without a udrp proceeding
johnuk says
@BrianWick Much as I would just love to say that Trump would lose this UDRP I can only say that given all the FACTS I have seen (which as I said in earlier post I am not going to make public) he should win but it may be they do not have the evidence I have found.

If the domain was registered in 1998 and Trump didn’t register the trademark until 2000, then it could not have been registered in bad faith which is one of the conditions required to win a UDRP. He could have done the right thing and offered to buy the domain. Hopefully there will be a finding of RDNH against him.
Joseph Peterson says
It shouldn’t matter whether he has a trademark for some particular use of “Trump Card” or not, so long as the owner of TrumpCard.com doesn’t step on those toes. The phrase “Trump Card” is as generic as “Home Run” or “Slam Dunk”.

Let’s just say the owner was wearing large boots then, shall we.
