A Few weeks ago we wrote about the highest priced premium domain names we have seen in the new gTLD launch those for the super premiums of .Attorney and .Lawyer, that carry an registration and annual renewal fee up to $60,000 a year and today it appears some of them sold in the first day of general availability .
Accident.Attorney and injury.lawyer are two domain names that had a registration and annual renewal fee of up to $60,000 per year that are now registered.
Of course prices can vary widely by registrar and depending on the discount offered by the registrars by account.
My price for each of these domains were $55K per year at enom.com but the rack rate was $60K per year but each registrar is free to set their own price based on wholesale cost set by the registry
I reached out to Rightside.co the registry for .Attorney and .Lawyer who confirmed that the domains were registered today but would not confirm the exact price paid.
“They are allocated now along with a handful of other platinum domains”
I got a call from a lawyer in New York who inquired about TrialLawyer.com and AccidentAttorney.com, two domains my company owns late this afternoon .
When I quoted the asking price and he balked.
I told him to compare my prices for the .com domains which carry a $10 renewal fee to the price of the new gTLD’s
That is how I found out that some of these domains that carried a registration and renewal fee as high as a $60K had in fact been registered.
The domain name Injury.Lawyer and Accident.Attorney is registered to Howard Merricks of Trinity Florida (the domains are on server hold pending collision).
When the zone file updated we should be able to see what other premium domains were registered.
In the meantime Mr. Merrricks if you want to lease AccidentAttorney.com for $100K per year give me a call.

My legal portfolio auction is nearly finished at flippa.com, simply search for onlinepersonalinjurylawyer.com and you will see thirteen other legal and insurance based names with a cheap reserve price for the lot, cheers

I don’t understand; the two biggest services in the city use NY without the C:
FDNY – Fire Department New York
NYPD – New York Police Department
and so on…

I had in plan to reg some .attorney and .lawyer domains, but gave up after I saw the prices 🙂 Each word that make sense with these extensions has very high reg fee. Anyway, some words that dont fit to the extension could be regged for just $35 at some registrars.

It seems more new GTLDs will be included soon. What is the future of dot coms then? Is it going to be the king of all or would disappear in the coming crowd?
