According to a press release out today, a German company Unitedprint.com, announced the bought the domain name EasyPrint.com for an “amount in the six figures”
The original Press release is in German and I used Google to translate it:
Online printing unitedprint.com SE acquires the domain www.easyprint.com at an unspecified numbered six-figure sum, strengthening its global market access.
With the acquisition of Easyprint.com address for their own brand Easy Print to unitedprint.com SE is even better positioned on the American market is much competitive.
The stated goal: international and especially to put the competitors in the field of web-to-print in the U.S. market under pressure. Easy Print stands out from many other online printing companies. In addition to an excellent price / performance ratio, the customer is offered including a free design tool with numerous photographic and design templates.
The domain EasyPrint.com was owned by the company that operates EasyPrint.de.
Might be time to sell Print.TV ?
What about taxes?
Michael, i doubt this was a domain-only acquisition but rather the whole website business that they have bought, in turn eliminating/absorbing a direct competitor.
The PR was not clear but i could be they bought the .com and the seller is keep operating on the .de or they could have bought the whole company but then you would have thought they would have at least mentioned the .de since the company is actually operating under easyprint.de, the .com just redirects
Catchy/cute two word dot c0ms continue to be hot sellers. Thanks for the story Mike.
Not surprised about the price sold, have kind of similar name with a lot’s of offers.
