Five new gTLD’s went into their first day of general availability yesterday and including Sunrise registrations, they wound up with just over 8,000 registrations total.
(The totals are combined from ntldstats.com and RegistrarStats.com and we used the higher total in all cases).
Here are the totals after the 1st day including Sunrise Registrations
.Events 3,902
.Futbol 1,628
.Dating 1.043
.Partners 880
.Productions 771
All and all a very weak showing.
Actually Famous Four 3 new gTLD that went into General Availability on Monday, .Webcam, .Trade and .Bid did around 7,500 after its first day
I had checked out many .Events domains and found the one’s I had interest in to have high registration and renewal fees.
.Events which did the best by far yesterday is the 69th most registered new gTLD.
.Dating has a lot of vertical competition including .Date which will be coming out later on.
.Singles which is already launched has more than 7 times the number of registration as .Dating.
.Partners also has a lot of vertical competition including .Ventures, .Company, .Holdings, .Enterprises and maybe event .Productions
All and all a very unimpressive week for the new gTLD strings that launched this week.
