NetNames, an online brand protection and corporate domain name management, has acquired WebIP, a leader in corporate domain name management in the Australian market.
This acquisition provides access for Australian corporations to NetNames’ online brand protection services, which are used by many global brands to prevent counterfeit sales and other forms of online brand infringement. I
n addition, Web IP’s clients will have access to NetNames’ global domain name registration platform and the possibility to have a single partner to register and manage domain names with direct accreditation in virtually every domain registry worldwide.
Tyron Ball and Ed Seaford, co-founders of WebIP, will continue to lead the business under the NetNames brand.
