The domain name sandwich.co sold on Sedo today for $18,000 USD.
Yahoo sold the domain name Sandwich.com for $137,500 back in November 2013 also on Sedo.
The buyer of Sandwich.co is Sandwich Company of Los Angeles, California.
The buyer of Sandwich.com seems to be a different party.
The purchase price of the .co is over 13% of the .com.
Congrats to the buyer and seller.

I live on Cape Cod in Massachusetts and there is literally a town here named Sandwich.
However, they would not be a buyer at $137k.
13% is high for a non .com. Should be 10% or less.
Maybe .com is a little under priced and the .co is a little over priced but thanks for the comparison.

I own a number of .COs as defensive registrations, but for some inexplicable reason I find the extension growing on me. Not that I still don’t think there might be a certain percentage of confusion between it and .COM. And in no way would I consider using it myself as a primary entry point to one of my websites. But still, if one is aware of the extension, (which not everyone is), it is kind of an attention-getter for a site that uses it. In a way. Sort of.
That’s my one non-.COM endorsement for the day.

Thank you for reporting the .CO sale.
Clicking the logo on the http://Sandwich.co landing page takes visitors to Sandwich Video (http://sandwichvideo.com).
They do great work and have an impressive portfolio of clients.

Nice sale, and nice sales ratio to the .com.
Not surprised to see a one word .co that is suitable for a startup tech company sell for that kind of price.

@robsequin… should be 2% or less. jmo… other opinions may differ

I love the .co … I just changed from .com to .co on SellDomains.co … I think the .co domains are going to be very valuable. I own a few.
