Time Magazine is reporting that European and U.S. authorities have cracked down on another group of websites that traffic in counterfeit goods. This continues to be an ongoing battle between authorities and the counterfeiters who have networks all throughout the world.
From the article:
“These websites were set up to dupe consumers into unknowingly buying counterfeit products,” Europol said in a statement. In the operation dubbed “In Our Sites,” U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement took down 297 domain names in the United States, while European authorities in Belgium, Denmark, France, Hungary, Romania, Spain and the UK seized 393 domains.

Thats great news, there are still so many counter-fit sites out there and so many stores both online and offline selling counterfeit goods.. whilst there are countries like China that can produce these goods there will always be money to be made by the dishonest.

It seems perfect that authorities in USA and HongKong have taken such action against the sites in question.
